Head Honcho Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 ................................and all you fookin twats starting threads and posting shit while the server was struggling to cope! There was one topic of conversation so wtf did you have to overload the system with about 4 next manager threads and 5 next manager threads? Again thanks to Martin Allen I get the feeling you may be the one having the last laugh.
Matt Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Good Luck Martin, really thought you were "the one". Feel really sorry for you, As far as i'm concerned you have done nothing wrong and I am on "your side" and until Mandaric tells us fans what went on and until Mandaric justifies his decision I will continue to be on your side of the arguement. No doubt if Milan picks a good manager to replace you i'll forgive him but as I said unless he justifies himself you have done nothing wrong and still deserve to be in the job. Hope get back into employment again soon, and not at Leicester's expence but have the last laugh over Milan (Which in theory would mean over Leicester )
Unit Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Yeah, cheers Allen. Really feel for the guy, was nice to have a charismatic manager for once, made fooking rob kelly look a bit silly. Am quite upset by this news EDIT: I'd like to add that if Allen gets a new championship team, I wouldn't mind his team stuffing us, I really think he knew what he was doing.

David O'Leary Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Thanks for everything Martin the phone call to Steve Bruce story will be remembered forever
dandannieldanok Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Bloody hell I didn't think people thought Allen was so special as they do, he made us laugh a few times but he is just another manager.
Milky Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I think we should wait for the full story until we give unreserved thanks to the man. I myself think it was the sack, but this mutual consent stuff may imply otherwise.
Simi Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 He was certainly a different mold to what we became accustomed to with Nobert Kelly. Who knows what he could of archived with this club, obviously we will never know. But for a while, the man was a huge breath of fresh air. I'll certainly be following Allen's next job very closely, hopefully with a club in this division, also I hope he wont have to wait to long. Would be very interesting to just get one last Allen update, somehow I think the chances of that are very slim due to privacy rights etc. Best of luck Allen, let the Manadric roller coaster continue!
Geo V Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 A legend in the making has left us I fear. I think this place was the perfect venue for him to show how good he is. Despite me initially having apprehensions at the appointment, he was starting to prove that he had what it takes to manage at this level and looked to be actually thriving. Some of his signings were very good and more impressively were the donkeys that MM wanted that he decided against signing. Its just a shame that he has left us without getting a proper chance to take us up. Good Luck in the future MA!

I CANT BELIEVE THAT COMMENT ABOUT US GETTIN STUFFED. THATS A JOKE. SURELY!

Connolly!!! Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Not posted for a while (hence the username), but just wanted to place on record my thanks to Martin Allen, under whom it finally looked as though we were beginning to move forward. Best of luck in the future Martin, I for one will be closely following your fortunes throughout your career, and if/when you come to the Walkers as the visiting Manager, you will get a good reception from me. All the best Mad Dog.
Mikey Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Good luck Martin. He really did seem like the right man for the job!!!
Bob666 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Best wishes Martin & thanks for the "messiah" gestures before/after the Watford match. You were different & brought a breath of fresh air to the Walkers following the Bassett/Wilkinson/Levine/Kelly/Worthington dross & lack of personality. I enjoyed reading your OS statements, your SSN interviews & the passion you brought back to the club (in so few competitive games). Maybe you weren't going to be the right man to work with MM, maybe your tactics of playing MDV up front wouldn't have worked out in the long term but last Saturday (& glimpses at Selhurst Park), you showed that you cared about this club that we all love and will follow even if that Twat: Roeder (who's never been loved at WHFC/NUFC) is made manager. You nearly saw one of your players die last night & your kicked in the watsits the next day.........however, good luck mate & I hope your next club's fans will appreciate you as much as we had so little time to enjoy your roller coaster ride of management but at least you had passion for the club/fans which we may take a long time to see again..............
Southern Fox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 A big thanks His passion. His madness. His online posts that kept the fans informed and made us feel important and worthwhile to the club. The letter he kindly signed and wrote for my wedding in July. I think he cared about the club. Im gutted! You deserved much better than that mate.
Matt Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 If anything i'll miss his interviews the most! He was only here for 5 games and 1 summer but he'll go down as a Leicester Legend in the making with me! "If me aunty had ball's she'd be me uncle" Bye Bye Martin Good Luck!
Brainy Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Bloody hell I didn't think people thought Allen was so special as they do, he made us laugh a few times but he is just another manager. But yeah, he's made me laugh the past few months. Goodluck M'allen!
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 He had been working for this down in the lower leagues. Milan gives Allen the oppurtunity at Leicester, and in my eyes there wasn't another man better suited for the job. Sure they were going to clash but I assumed that Milan would be man enough to ignore it and let the performances, results and fan support do the talking. He clearly hasn't given the man the chance he has worked for and so rightly deserves, regarding that I am disgusting with how Milan has treated him. It was clear that there was problems when the Hasslebaink situation was going on, and Milan didn't sound happy on SSN. People are saying It doesn't matter and we will have forgotten about Allen if the new man strings together some decent results, but I don't see it like that. Allen was a great man for our club, he had already built a great relationship with the fans, and it was clear that he was beyond happy. This was noticeable when he came out against Watford, and just stood there receiving the applause that he deserved, also in his "Manager Updates" that are going to be missed. Thanks Martin for what you did in your short space of time, you were a real breath of fresh air, and you created a buzz around the City. I hope that Milan does sort it out, ATM I don't want to think about a replacement.
craigymc8 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 thanks a lot martin i really thought you were the one to take us forward. you had everything we wanted in a manager. i genuinely believe martin allen could have been a leicester city legend.
worksopfox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Thanks Martin all the best for the future, a breath of fresh air for three whole months.
Monk Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Thank you for the passion Thank you for stuffing Watford Thank you for the humour I really hope he lands on his feet after this. A cracking bloke. He will be missed around these parts
The Stig Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Only time will tell weather it was the right decsision by MM, but I hope his next club stuff us, because I really feel he could have been a great manager. He's not only the most successful manager of recent time, leaving us in 9th! But also the only manager to lead us for 4 and a 1/2 games. GOOD LUCK MA
Kent Fox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Feck me!!! I go away for 2 weeks and all this shit happens! I am gutted. Good luck to ya, MA. I hope you read all this and at least you will know what the fans think..
