Are you saying businessmen shouldn't act with integrity and try to honour people's contracts?.

Didn't you suggest we should release about 10 players?

I wonder what Les Reed is up to?
Wanking in front of a mirror, probably.

Les "Look at me!!!!!!!" Reed was spotted recently with Dirty Sanchez at Fulham.

That doesn't surprise me... Les Reed was the "mastermind" behind Northern Ireland's 1-0 victory over England. His intimate and expansive "knowledge" of the England set-up helped bring them down, so he says.

No surprise, then, that he works for Dirty Sanchez at Fulham... his expansive knowledge of the Premier League is doubtless useful to Sanchez's Fulham.

In fact, having just looked him up, he's the Assistant Wizard and Tactical Master Manager at Fulham. He signed a rolling contract.

You have to hand it to Al-Fayed... he wasn't fucking stupid enough to hand him a fixed-term contract lasting several years.

Right then.

I've not read any of the threads, but read the titles and that's enough for me. Not having this, not one bit.

My initial reactions when I heard the news were of disbelief and I was gutted. Felt like crying, really did. But then I took the information in, had a think about it and things are becoming a lot clearer.

Milan Mandaric saved this club. He saved it because he wants to make a success of us and make himself some money and a hero along the way, not because he's been a lifelong Leicester fan and out of duty he's bought us or because he's got a vendetta against us and wants to buy us and bury us. It's his club, we were all (well 99% of us) were over the moon that he bought us out and saved us from further years of uncertainty and frustration.

We all knew it was going to be eventful, we all knew that Mandaric works in strange ways at times. We all lapped it up, even joked that managers would be coming in and going out, left, right and centre. Lots of us said we'd back Mandaric to the hilt.

He wants success, he's one of the few men in football that doesn't bury his head in the sand if he's got the wrong manager or bought the wrong player. He's pro-active not re-active. He now knows that there was a massive personality clash and that it was unlikely that him and Allen would get on well and make a success of it. So instead of fannying about, he's tackled the situation head on.

I admire the man, I might not be as ruthless as him (i've certainly underestimated him in recent weeks) but he's proven that he can get a team promoted under his ownership and keep them in the Premiership. He's not about to settle for anything less.

Just remember what the alternative of Mandaric was, that's the bottom line here. Don't try and eat the fookin cake whole here, we aren't in a position to do that right now. Some of you have short memories.

Ok, so this might be a bizarre decision. But we don't know the facts of what's happened, Martin Allen is no neglected puppy here. He's a man who stands up and fights for what he believes in. He's the sort of guy who probably has battles everyday and thinks nothing of them, but to others they'd be a mammoth scrap. Mandaric might not like that, perhaps he can't work with that. Rather him do something about it now when the seasons still only just started than be weak about it and let Allen run amok and waste a season.

He genuinely believes we can get promotion this season, fair play to him for believing that. We have an ambitious chairman, it makes a change. If he thinks we can do it and won't stop at nothing to get it, then let's fookin get behind him and enjoy this shit.

I make my stand loud and clear. I am 100% behind Milan Mandaric. I thank him for buying the club I support and for breathing some energy back in to it. There will be people pulling their hair out at the minute, but we have a guy who's a one off. A born winner. He knows when he has to pull his business head on.

This is us now, we'll be talked about up and down the country. For right reasons or wrong, but i'd rather that than be a poxy, boring, softly, softly does it club that makes no strides in English football. I can't be proud of that, it's done us no favours before.

I chose Mandaric, i'm not going back. Others should do the same.

All I can say is, Well said and I agree.

I don't think it would have been anything close to a "miracle" for MA to have got us up. He'd assembled the basis of a decent squad, was ninth in the table, three points from the top and with Kaebi, Hayes & Cort still to play any significant part.

Top six was perfectly possible. I'm not sure the likes of Megson, Warnock and Jewell will fit the managerial part so quickly nor necessarily do well at all.

Again Thracian you totally miss the point.

This thread is about Milan - stopping people turning against him.

You say its a possibility that we will get promoted this season - what i said was, that without Milan, we would be a million miles away from that, simple as that.

Milan employed Allen, he sacked him, but would you rather we have the old board in charge, waiting til the end of the season to see if we've stayed up AGAIN, or get on the Milan rollercoaster? I know which id rather do.

Harry Redknapp - if it wasn't for him Mandaric would be a nobody in terms of success. Mandaric has lived off Redknapp's skills and there's no evidence in my mind that he'll be so lucky here. Yes Mandaric has the money to attract quality, but with his growing reputation of firing managers when the club's doing well which decent managers will want to come here? And will quality players want to come to a club with so much instability?

Milan Mandaric is not our saviour yet. As Breandandcheese said, where's the evidence that he stopped us going into admin? Until we achieve something with Mandaric at the helm, I won't be giving him any credit for taking us over. And a man who sacks a physio a day after saving a player's life deserves no respect in my book.

Are you suggesting we would be better without him?

I must admit that MM has gone down in my estimation but to be honest, I don't give a to$$ whether he sacks the tea ladies, physios or chief scouts as long as he brings success to the club. I also know he wont be here to stay after promotion as he`ll probably cash in on his investment but that wont be a problem as it would mean we would have been successful.

I also disagree with others comments about integrity and even honesty being prerequisites with MM. Once again, I don't care if he is hated as long as he is successful. We are lucky enough for the first time in a good few years to pay seven figure transfer fees after seasons of bosman muck coming in so I for one am greatful on that side of Milans takeover.

Dont get me wrong, MM still has plenty to prove and has some key decisions to get right (already made one poor one with MA`s appointment as he sacked him 3 months later) but we must all surely rather have him here than not have him at all?

No Im saying they often they don't though. The bully tag is a bit strong.

but what would he have achieved without HR at portsmouth, from what i can remember they were a club in crisis for the short time he was at southampton. So get Harry and quick because at the moment we only have half the package. I recon this is why he appointed allen, almost the perfect budget harry......

The only reason MM took us over is because we were commercially there for the taking and he stands to make a fortune.

Others would have recognised that too.

The old board clearly had their limitations - and were never going to last indefinitely - but at least they had some integrity.

As for the Milan Mandaric. I feel ashamed to be asociated with his name.

As for his rollercoaster it could hurtle into the scrapyard to be crushed for all I care.

I'd like my club back, thanks. Even with the old board in charge.

My instinct always told me Mandaric was bad news. I damned sure of it now.

How many fookin times. Damien Doyle came as part of the backroom staff with Martin Allen. He's been with him since Barnet or Brentford. He was hardly going to stay when Allen got the sack.

Other than that though, you raise some valid points. All i'd say is, everyone's success can be put down to one thing or another. Just remember where we were without him. Danny Cadamarteri and Josh Low.

Like any investment, he can also lose a shite load of cash too. Thankfully he has decided to take us out of mediocrity and give us a chance to have a crack at it.

I personally think that Leicester fans like you who were there in the good old days of Weller and Wortho and then had a prime seat for the MON era have almost decided that we deserve to be amongst the elite and it should happen naturally. The fact is, after some bad decisions in the board room and on the pitch we could quite easily have gone down the road of a Forest or a Leeds and been playing in the 3rd division. We could easily have been like Sheff Weds and got relegated and only to be seen years later in the Championship with decent crowds and no initial hope of promotion. The facts are we have someone in charge who is at least trying to get us up, for his and our benefit and then will leave.

Count yourself lucky that we are in this fortunate position that he didn't chose another club and came to us.

Well thats you're prerogative, but as Geo said, i could'nt give a flying fook who he sacks, at the end of the day Milan wants us to be successful, the same as what we want, and he knows how to do it a lo better than any of us do.

So i'll stand by him thanks. You can have your Momo Syllas and Josh Lows and be done with it.

Don't associate me with Momo Sylla or Josh Low. Even with no money it didn't need to be that bad.

Sometime you might explain how having Hughes or Rab back have anything to do with anything.

Even with the MM input we've got our new "mistakes".

AGAIN you miss my point.

Read between the lines mate.

You said you want your club back even with the old board, i was comparing your comment to the likes of 2 of the shitest players to grace our city, may as well have the 05/06 squad while you're at it.

get my drift?

Why do city fans always have to blow stuff out of proportion, we would be in a worse position now without MM FACT!

How is this FACT? Short term, maybe. We have some better players in, but how have these been financed? Long term, is it more detrimental to the club? These are questions we can only answer in hindsight, so the answer is, not we would be in a worse position FACT, it is that we don't know yet.
