Allen Signing vs Mandaric Signings

i think the important thing here is that, technically, milan signed them all, as he holds the purse strings and surely will have the final word... especially, if it is to be believed that he is a demonic megalomaniacal tyrant, who effectively is the actual squad manager....

to be honest these meaningless guessing games are, at best, trivial... at worst a total and utter embarrassment, who the fu(k cares who bought which players, no offence to the guy who atrted this thread, but what's the point, the players are all here now, it would be just as valid to discus who started the first world war.

no one will ever know, and chances are some of them, like cort, were probably mutual decisions.

i know it's good to talk, but lets talk about the now and the future, this has a nasty taste of 'wishingallenwasstillhereitis'...

...for the record the only signing that seems to be definate is whatsisface from benfica!

Gavrilo Princip...

and besides, isn't 99% of the forum purely speculative or in many places, nothing to do with LCFC at all? Fact can't be debated, because... erm... it's fact!

Oh that makes it alright then - He's choosing who to drop/get rid too.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Mind you he could try three wrongs, or four wrongs................! ;)

It could be worse, we could be in Italy or Spain where loads of there managers just get given a squad of players and have little say in any transfers! Im not saying its right for the chairman or presidents or whatever they are in each respective country to get involved in selecting the right players to buy for there clubs but I'm sure it happens a lot more frequently than we think in Britain as well. For example, we all know the Hearts owner has shipped half of Lithuania over and even Sven has had to put up with two trialists from the new owners homeland (Thailand is it??), one which he has already agreed to sign.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter who signed who now. Whats done is done and we just have to make the best of a bad situtation (being as some of these signings are dreadful and IMO hasty)

If MM has signed several players then thats very worrying because it means that our chairman is interferring with the manager's responsibilities. I don't agree with that at all, as the roles of 'manager' and 'chairman' aren't one and the same. Surely somebody of MM's experience should realise that managers aren't going to be best pleased when (supposedly) deals they've made are squashed because the chairman doesn't like it, so instead he signs some foreign player on loan.

WTF is the chairman doing choosing/signing ANY player let alone SEVEN.

What was it Brian Clough said about chairman.........?

FFF

Just be thankfull we're actually making signings. Without Mandaric it would be sell, sell, sell.

Well this is true, it could be worse...

Wasn't it Ron Noades at Brentford who sacked the manager and put the suit away and tracksuit on to manage Brentford years ago lol?? Im sure some Chairman think they know best. Some people on here think they know best and if you read the tabloids you would think that they are the trophy winning managers with there selections the nonces. Actually, does anyone watch that Sunday AM show on SS with the journos? The conceited prats always make out as if they know best and they have all the answers for the managers!

Says how good Allen was but from what I have seen so far it looks as if he has left us with a load of donkeys.

He or his agent have signed fifteen players and most do not even rate a place on the bench. Those that do are no better than the players that were already here. I can only think of four who would rate a place in the team. Look at the squad and make your own mind up.

They clearly weren't all his doing.

Can we stop talking about Martin Allen now, it's finished.

Heard on the Radio Leicester match commentary today that they asked someone (if I recall correctly it was Mandaric himself) how many of the 14 signings were chosen by MA and how many by MM. The answer was 7 each.

So my thinking is this... Who signed whom?

Here's my guess... but remember it's just a  guess. I don't claim to hold any priveleged info!

Signings á la Martin

Campbell

Chambers

Clemence (Anyone begining with C basically! )

Hayes

Sappleton

Fulop

Clarke (Last 2 on the basis that Milan would just go for out-and-out signings)

Signings á la Milan

Nielsen

Kaebi

N'Gotty

Kishishev

Newton (kinda obvious as he was here previously under MM before MA arrived)

Hellings

Cort (Blowing my "C theory" right out of the water! :o )

I understood this question was raised at the recent meeting and MM said Bruno was the only player he signed without MA's approval. So the crap that is new is down to MA not MM if MA had the last say. JFH being a case in point MA really did not have a clue about players for this level let alone aspirations of the Premiership.

Do you believe everything MM says?

Personally I don't really care who signed who.

What I do care about is the quality of players signed.

Many of them are clearly not good enough.

Megson in the past had a decent record of signing good players.

What I am now interested in is, who he will transfer or put out on loan to get rid of.

Big problem of course is who would want them?

I think it becoming imperative that we get rid of some players as soon as possible and bring in players that can and will do a good job for us.

If Megson is given a free hand with no interference from MM then we may begin to see some light at the end of this long dark tunnel we have sunk into.

There could still be many MMs signings on that basis it just means that MA could have said ok to some but was not asked about Bruno.
