dandannieldanok Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 I would have him here. So would I. Still class, good signing. Agree.
Geo V Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Like Walkers said, I cant see him doing much harm but the skills never go away and Im sure he`ll mesmerize some of the rank defenders at this level.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Should still be more than effective at this level if he's got the motivation - which is the tricky thing to decide - is ex-premiership hotshot here to wind down gracefully into retirement (a la Sir Les) , or is he just here to make a few more quid before people realise (a la Wise)
Lillehamring Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 i'm not bothered really - tho, it will be interesting to see what his attitude will be like playing for hull...
DB11 Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 He'll be well good for them. I'd definitely have had him at Leicester!
Asha Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 He'll be well good for them. I'd definitely have had him at Leicester! To be honest I wouldnt. He's obviously going there with the intention of being the hero and if the club is successful people will see it as all down to him. He'll also demand more in wages than other players. I think having 1 single top class player seriously upsets the balance of teams.
Lord Nibblington Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 To be honest I wouldnt. I think having 1 single top class player seriously upsets the balance of teams. Can't say that Jay Jay ever struck me as an arrogant player in that respect... he was miles better than anyone at Bolton for a time, and was clearly a team player.
Father Ted Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 What an amazing signing for Hull. If he is on top form he will be amazing. He is the creative player we are missing.

Darkzzz_ Posted 4 September 2007 Posted 4 September 2007 Quality signing at hull.... I would have had him here even tho he is 34 he would do a job... Look at his contribution at bolton, he was and no doubt still is a class player.... good luck to him, obviously not against us tho....
filbertway Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 What a signing, if they've got players who can finish they should score a few this season with all the chances and space he would create. If he's still got it.
filbertway Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Legs gone. He'll be exactly like andy johnson then, except for him being black and still being able to pass and shoot, obviously he won't come with the pointability AJ had though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Legs gone. He was starting to look decidedly shocking during his last few months with Bolton was old Jay Jay Okocha. and he's now 34, and has been away playing Village football in Qatar for a year. I can't see him being brilliant for them, then again he might have a bit left in the tank you never know. Still the most disapointing thing about this is Phil didn't tell me about this during our delightful conversation in Ciros, I thought we were close.
Flynny Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 He'll be shit against everyone except us, probably.
Micky Ruddle Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Might take the Championship by storm. Can't exactly see them being bigger than Bolton however. Would've been good to see him with a Leicester shirt.
oO RUSTYNAIL Oo Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 OK i love JAY JAY hes amazing and skill like this never goes away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzwhkRsLQeg
Hullfox Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 What an amazing signing for Hull. If he is on top form he will be amazing. He is the creative player we are missing. If he was on top form he wouldn't a) be playing in Qatar b) signing for a Championship side
