Did my performance today and my god i'm really tired now! we did two performances one at 3pm and another at 7pm. The 3pm performance went well and i think during the play everyone seemed confident and i would say relaxed despite us being really nervous pre this, by the 7pm performance we were slightly more confident but i think people's energy by this point was zapped, bags of errors in that! Following the play we were told to help tidy up the set after we'd finished but typical thirteen of the seventeen in the group dashed straight off home, leaving just the four of us to tidy up!

Kings Head won at dominoes tonight 5-4 versus The Criterion in the Winter Cup. My table won 3-0. And we were players short so they effectively had a 3-0 start. First victory this season but I'm taking the NP viewpoint on it.

'Well we had the rub of the green, there are still some areas we can improve on, and as I have been saying all season no game is easy in this league but our players showed the composure to sneak a win. i won't get carried away by the victory as we have to prepare and stay focussed for the next match.'

It's happening on the 20th now at the Phoenix. There is the showing of a film which shows the work done in the past year and features testomonies from volunteers including yours truly. Then a meal. At 7.30pm there is a special showing of It's a Wonderful Life tickets still available. Details on the Phoenix website/

What performances? I thought you were sticking with the football course? I'm clearly way behind the times.

Managed to be on the winning team at football this week! Good game actually, better performance from myself. Managed to get forward once as well, got set up about 7 yards away from goal and what happens? I hit the crossbar. I think there's a reason why I stick to playing holding midfield! Managed to set up two goals though, one of which was probably the best cross I've ever delivered in my life.

Very shrewd, can see what you have done here.

People donate food to get a ticket for It's a wonderful life.

You all sit down with the food while they watch it.

Sharp stuff mate.

That will be awful, no point sugarcoating it.

Just try and give him the best send off that you can.

Just had this sent to me on Facebook. He was in my platoon at training. He used to ponce around pinching your arse pretending he was gay lol

It's incredible how many of our lads have risen through the ranks. One is a Sergeant now, and at 26 that is incredible. The bird who was our Junior RSM for the passing out parade got an early commission and is now a Captain.

My old platoon sergeant is now a RSM too and one of our section commanders at the time is a CSM

Last radio show before the New Year today. Pretty good. A few cakes and take away pizza. We are still have hopes of a new venue.

There are negotiations going on for a place Narborough Rd area. Don't know more than that.

Had a go in the hot seat presenting and read out a couple of poems. One that will be the final piece before Xmas on the website (www.downnotoutleicester;wordpress.com)  I think.

We also had a spot playing vinyl records.I took along Leo Sayer's The Show Must Go On.

That is my good news for today.

Just got out of bed.

Started working now and a long night of drinking and sports action ahead.

Just had a invite for a night out with all my old workmates from Makro on the 22nd of December, should be interesting as I haven't seen most of them for ten years.

lol Makro.

Is that place still going?

I don't know if I'm honest.

It was great for discount and unlimited access to Makro cards but it was awful to work at, standing up all day, with big thick blokes banging through piles and piles of stock for Indians. Sainsburys was far better, a comfy seats surrounded by young birds who were up for it and kinky bored housewives coming through the till all day.
