Milans Foxes Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 Right, so Milan reckons he's interviewing four candidates this week. As a summary, who do you think they are, bearing in mind two are in jobs and two are not and who would you put money on him choosing out of the four???? I think/hope the four are: Iain Dowie Billy Davies Paul Jewell Neil Warnock I might be being optimistic here but if these are the four, Ill be chuffed as I would be fairly happy with any of these considering the likes of Rat boy Roeder, Reid and Megson have been rumoured. My money would be on Davies getting the job, probably an outsider but if he is one of the four, I would hope he gets it. What do ya think?? Asha Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 Dowie = too ugly Warnock = too angry all the time and generally a complete dick. Davies = hes in the prem why come down. Jewell = too shiny. Dont like them. When will i be considered?

Stinkenzo Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 Dowie = too ugly - so thats him out of the running. Warnock = too angry all the time and generally a complete dick. - The fans stopped MM from appointing Warnock last time and I cant see him considering him too much. Davies = hes in the prem why come down. - because the Derby board want rid. Jewell = too shiny. - genius.
Asha Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 I doubt Billy Davies will be one of the candidates No course he wont. He's on better money than we'd offer him and he's in the premiership....which slightly outweights the promise of a team that might get there. Asha Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 David o'leary please No too Irish. Anyway Milan has a history of picking up random Serbs.
Stinkenzo Posted 10 September 2007 Share Posted 10 September 2007 He won't have the choice. As far as I know, Davies doesn't want to go, the Derby board want him to go.

demon_dog Posted 11 September 2007 Share Posted 11 September 2007 Some shortlist; Dowie - Cov say hands off. Warnock - Says turned job down. Jewell - Not interested in a return to management yet. Davies - Depends on Derby Boardroom, maybe. That leaves, Reid, Megson, Roeder, old Uncle Tom Cobley and all.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 September 2007 Share Posted 11 September 2007 The short list was: Jewell - his six months isn't up yet. Gérard Houllier - sadly the French FA's technical director position came up, and Gérard being French, he jumped at the chance. Leicester just ain't French enough. Warnock - he turned us down on a matter of principle. That just leaves: Brian Little... come on down. :D
DB11 Posted 11 September 2007 Share Posted 11 September 2007 Peter Reid Billy Davis Glen Roeder Iain Dowie Well, it's who I think anyway
weggy1976 Posted 11 September 2007 Share Posted 11 September 2007 I heard that 3 on the shortlist are ..... Davies, Dowie,Megson and A.N.OTHER (probably himself!) Surely Megson would be the worst out of that poor shortlist. Can Davies resign before the weekend and get appointed in similar circumstances to O'Neill ? Daggers Posted 11 September 2007 Share Posted 11 September 2007 Dear Dave,Thank you very much for your application for the post of manager of Leicester City Football Club and, following on from that, Mr. Mandaric has instructed me to invite you to interview on Wednesday 12th September at 10:30am. We were particularly impressed with your history of employment and that you have held many positions where you have had your contract terminated after falling out with your line manager - obviously, this kind of experience will come in very useful in this role. Although I would normally advise people against 'shopping on credit' unless they are using a MBNA LCFC Visa card, your hobby will be highly valued by Milan as this is how we are funding all of our player acquisitions. Please let me know if the date and time are convenient to you. Best regards, Tim D PS. Milan has also asked me to inform you that you are fourth in line for the job
