marge simpson Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Roll up roll up place your bets now....... How long before MM sacks GM, Personally im surprised he has lasted this long
DB11 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Longer than 3 games Mandaric won't sack him so early, not after the uproar that was caused sacking MA so early
ASH17LCFC Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Till about Tea time and that will be a huge success in the eyes of milan.
marge simpson Posted 13 September 2007 Author Posted 13 September 2007 Longer than 3 games Mandaric won't sack him so early, not after the uproar that was caused sacking MA so early I really dont think MM really cares what sort of uproar he causes
Alexikokopops Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Until we run out of flapjack. God only knows what will happen without the flapjack.
demon_dog Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Roll up roll up place your bets now.......How long before MM sacks GM, Personally im surprised he has lasted this long  Didn't Milan say that the next press conference would be in 7 weeks?
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Didn't Milan say that the next press conference would be in 7 weeks? I fully expect us to be around 12th/13th come January and Megson to be shown the door! Love the insane behaviour of Milan!
ASH17LCFC Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Didn't Milan say that the next press conference would be in 7 weeks? No we have a international break coming up soon. So that will give Milan another chance to cut his hoilday short and search the USSR for another new manager. He will get it right in the end !!! Then f**k it up by sacking them and bringing in David Pleat.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Is this necessary, another useless topic. I know it's tongue-in-cheek but still..........its wearing thin.
ASH17LCFC Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I know wheres the " How long will it take Megson to win the champion league thread ;
Monk Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Probably longer than you think. 2-3 years I'd hazard as a guess
Asha Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He'll be in the job at least till next Saturday, providing we dont beat QPR 4-1...
Geo V Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 His tenure will come to an abrupt end when Danny Murphy finally signs for us.
Ozwin Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 The one thing I reckon Megson will do, if he lasts this long, is in the January transfer market, he'll set his sights higher. He'll go for proven players rather than younger, lesser known players. But I doubt he'll last that long, I can just see a few months of absolute pain every satuday.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 How long? Well he can't sign any players 'til Jan so he's working with Milans - sorry, MAs players so he'll be o.k. until end of Feb IMO. He won't be the manager next season though - whatever happens. MM says promotion this year! If GM fails then he'll be out. If we go up, Megson has shown he can't keep teams up - so he'll be replaced. FFF
dandannieldanok Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He'll go for proven players rather than younger, lesser known players. And why would that be a problem which you seem to be inferring? (correct me if I'm wrong)
botFOX Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Till a top manager gets fired and we can get him....
DB11 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Till a top manager gets fired and we can get him.... No manager is 'top' if they get fired
Tommeh Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 If we're in the top 8 performing to a reasonable standard, and he and MM agree on the vast majority of decisions, he should have till the end of the the season at the very least Big IF though.
Matt Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Megson made me laugh at the Press Conference, The reporter said something along this lines of "So what are the details involved in your contract, i.e How Long?" Megson's reply "Well i've been given a long term contract i'll be here for around 6 weeks" Oh dear Gary taking the micky out of Milan on your first day i'd watch your back! I said some bad things about Megson last night, I've had time to sleep on it, and its been going through my mind all day and I have come to realise we do need to support him, we do need to give him a chance and i'm prepared to do that, that doesn't mean i'm happy with this decision. Milan has done one good thing and two bad. He did good by buying us, he saved us effectively, and I thank him for that, He did bad by sacking MA don't fix something that's not broke regardless of his big head, The first bad leads onto the second bad, No matter who came in i'd be slightly disheartened in the decision because MA shouldn't have been sacking in the first place (As I said regardless of Milan's big head...MA was actually making what Milan is here for - Money) but the appointment of Megson has disheartened me even more because he was almost bottom of my list, but Come on Megson prove all us doubter's wrong, and I hope your up for a challenge because you have 3: 1) Winning over the doubters. 2) Staying on the right side of the crazy old fool Milan, Who we will forgive but never forget what he has done. 3) Getting us up.

Where would we be without Milan? we may of wanted someone else, we might still be shocked by Allen leaving but what i am quite sure of is that at the end of this season we will not be languishing towards the bottom of the league- Milan's money has saved us and we already have far better quality at this club than we had last season! COME ON CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
