How Long Will Megson Last

Least he has a sense of humour.

I know the majority of us are cursing that we've got coppernob as the gaffer, me included, but right now, he's the man in charge of the club and we're going to have to live with it, let's try and give hima chance first and if you still can't get behind Megson, at least still get behind the lads.

Probably longer than you think.

2-3 years I'd hazard as a guess

I dunno, I can think for a pretty long time and I'm planning on doing it for more than 3 years.

His expectations are pretty high; anyone can see that but the way he is going about trying to achieve them would make a few people wonder if he is sane :ermm:

Exactly, after thinking about it again and again all day going round in circle's, I'm not actually annoying with Megson being our manager it's Milan who i'm pissed off with and that all stems from the sacking of Martin Allen to back it up with appointing the person almost bottom of my list pissed me off further, I'm behind Megson after reasoning with myself all day but Milan :pinch:

Although if you believe the rumour's favoring Martin Allen and the reason for him being sacked it was Milan who picked the team and signing the majority of the players, e.t.c. If thats the case Milan ain't doing a bad job and Megson will just be the face of Milan's management...:dunno:

also let us not forget Leicester City FC were around long before either of these people and will be around long after them too....

we are bigger than them and no matter who it is in charge/ as chairman.. i will keep supporting the team!!!

I'm with that. Come matchday I get behind any manager and every player.

Doesn't mean I'll forgive MM nor that I believe the managerial appointments are anything but an insult to all those who don't give a shit about buying promotion or satisfying some vain old man's ego but who want to see our team playing some decent attacking football at The Walkers sometime before the ground becomes obsolete.

I'm not at all interested in more defensive overload a la Kelly. Nor do I care how good a "professional" Megson is or not. Winning ugly might be acceptable compromise to some but it's not in my vocabulary - certainly not as a general approach.

However if Megson and co confound my suspicians and put out a decent team and try 100% to win the matches - as opposed to grabbing leads and sitting back to bore people witless - then I'll have the good grace to congratulate them. There is nothing ambiguous about that and I'm not expecting some sort of super football either.

Just teams with sufficient attackers in them to take the game to the opposition, to try to play the game properly for 90 minutes and to do the once good name of our club some justice.

I don't mind how we attack, what formation we use, whether we go with wingers or what. But I am utterly sick of having so much respect for modest opposition that we sit back to defend a 1-0 lead at Accrington and consider holding out for a point at Plymouth to be an achievement.

Megson made me laugh at the Press Conference, The reporter said something along this lines of "So what are the details involved in your contract, i.e How Long?" Megson's reply "Well i've been given a long term contract i'll be here for around 6 weeks"

Oh dear Gary taking the micky out of Milan on your first day i'd watch your back!

I said some bad things about Megson last night, I've had time to sleep on it, and its been going through my mind all day and I have come to realise we do need to support him, we do need to give him a chance and i'm prepared to do that, that doesn't mean i'm happy with this decision.

Milan has done one good thing and two bad. He did good by buying us, he saved us effectively, and I thank him for that, He did bad by sacking MA don't fix something that's not broke regardless of his big head, The first bad leads onto the second bad, No matter who came in i'd be slightly disheartened in the decision because MA shouldn't have been sacking in the first place (As I said regardless of Milan's big head...MA was actually making what Milan is here for - Money) but the appointment of Megson has disheartened me even more because he was almost bottom of my list, but Come on Megson prove all us doubter's wrong, and I hope your up for a challenge because you have 3:

1) Winning over the doubters.

2) Staying on the right side of the crazy old fool Milan, Who we will forgive but never forget what he has done.

3) Getting us up.

So that email to Milan never made it from the outbox then considering your change of heart. ;)

I can never forgive nor forget MM for what he has done but also i cannot see Mr.Tags turning up and being a yes man either so maybe just maybe has has shown a bit of balls with this move :dunno: megson :ermm: TAG's

Yeah i was one of the Elliot gerry combo fans when micky left/got pushed/cracked the sads and pissed off so im half happy although i do miss tag's on game days so much better than derby fan and whats his name rowlett

It did, and another one was sent today, and I have come to the conclusion, I'm not exactly happy with Megson being appointed but i'll give him a chance and want him to do well, Milan is who i'm annoyed with and it has all stemmed from the sacking of MA.

As I said and keep saying is we will forgive Milan i'm sure because if the club isn't doing well and if us as fans aren't happy then he isn't going to be happy because he won't be or have made money but that doesn't mean we will forget. Good (Saving the club) and bad (Sacking MA) I will never forget what he's done.

Everyone does bad things, everyone makes mistakes but the main factor I worry about is Milan is a major control freak!

Can he have a how many days Gary Megson will last competition like the goals won - reckon LCFC would give us some prizes for that?!? Come on Mods, get it done - I'm going for a clean 200 days!

I was just gonna suggest a new manager poll to cheer myself up!

Oh I did one of them last night - to the scorn of a few! Sarcastic humor is my way of coping though.

One thing I will say to all the MM backers though - MM may have saved us and given us a brighter future, but there is one thing that is worrying - what if after his 20 or more managers, it still hasn't worked, would he be tempted to just fook off?

It's nice to have money, but we have an excellent youth academy, and growing organically may have been a better option even if it was longer?

he's going to be here for a long time and the club can look forward to a lot of success ; GM is a good manager and will prove all the doubters wrong  (MA was out of his depth , his crazy antics would not have worked at leicester )

i'm on my way to geos optimistic bus now

some good points there... Where would we be without Milan?

we may of wanted someone else, we might still be shocked by Allen leaving but what i am quite sure of is that at the end of this season we will not be languishing towards the bottom of the league- Milan's money has saved us and we already have far better quality at this club than we had last season!

COME ON CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where would Milan be without us?? He should show us some respect if he wants any in return. Tosser.
