Zingari Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 going going gone FOR almost five decades, the four great cooling towers of Chapelcross nuclear power station stood as silent sentinels. But in under ten seconds , some of the south-west of Scotland's most iconic landmarks were turned into 25,000 tonnes of rubble, leaving only four lingering shadows of dust.

Donington lost its power station back in the mid 90s. I was born just up the road from the power station itself... maybe a mile up the road. Shame really.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 I used to think power station cooling towers were cloud factories. I used to get excited whenever we went to Leicester because I could see the cloud factory near Newark. What a retard.
