I take it you are renting but the landlord isnt sorting out the plumbing? Easy solution is refuse to pay until its sorted. A mate of mine once went nuts when his landlord didnt replace a shower curtian he had promised to put up when they moved in (what do they cost, a tenner??) and dug his heels in and refused to pay the rent until he fulfilled his part of the bargain . Tenants have plenty of rights so if this is the case, tell him to either fix or or you`ll fix it yourself and take it off the rent and see what he says.
