I remember reading something a while ago about why zenit had never signed a black player despite there having been quite a large number playing in the Russian league for some time. Believed to be something to do with their far-right supporters threats to burn down the stadium and beat up the manager if they did. Although if it costs as much for them to get to Manchester as it does for Mancs to get to Moscow then I dunno how many will travel.

They have some excellent ball players and play some very tidy football led by Arshavin who is one of the best players in Europe in my opinion. I've watched them twice and seen them demolish Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. What makes the Bayern victory even greater is that they are having a great season (Domestic treble and Luca Toni has 36 goals). Also, German teams aren't easy to beat, let alone thrash and it'd be great to see St. Petersburg play Fiorentina in the final. Atmosphere final. Note: As much as I want success for British clubs, Rangers' tactics are so defensive in Europe I'd prefer the Italians to play in Manchester.
