Tommy G Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 What is it with the English mentality and penalties? I just cant figure it out. Erm where were you for the banter on Live Chat last night?
purpleronnie Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Why let Chimbonda take a penalty I will not know. He wouldnt have to if the english player (yes there was one) scored his.
purpleronnie Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Thursday, 06 March 2008Tough draw for english teams, rangers have got a decent one. I havent heard one person who didn't think a british team will win the uefa cup. That always amazes me look at the history of the winners of the uefa cup and champions league over the last 15 years, chances are despite having all these teams in it we almost always fail. Nothing wrong with hope though. Ahhhh I was right (well unless rangers mess it up).
The Reverend Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Erm where were you for the banter on Live Chat last night? Yeah i missed out im afraid , how was it?
purpleronnie Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 bet of the day was werder +sporting 13/8. Didnt bet it though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 March 2008 Author Posted 13 March 2008 Bolton concede with five minutes to go. Shame. Bolton sent me to sleep for the third time this season.
purpleronnie Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 If rangers can play well at home they can match anyone. Depends on the draw.
lavrentis Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Bolton sent me to sleep for the third time this season. same here actually.
shen Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 RANGERS Bah... more than very lucky to get through! Disappointed to see Werder go out. One of the few very entertaining sides to watch!
isaidno Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Uefa Cup quarter-final draw: 1 Bayer Leverkusen v FC Zenit St Petersburg 2 Rangers v Sporting Lisbon 3 Bayern Munich v Getafe 4 Fiorentina v PSV Uefa Cup semi-final draw: Bayern Munich/Getafe v Leverkusen/Zenit Rangers/Sporting v Fiorentina/PSV That's quite a good draw for Rangers
purpleronnie Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Bah... more than very lucky to get through!Disappointed to see Werder go out. One of the few very entertaining sides to watch! Rangers battered them at home could have been 5-0. What are you talking about?
purpleronnie Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Uefa Cup quarter-final draw:1 Bayer Leverkusen v FC Zenit St Petersburg 2 Rangers v Sporting Lisbon 3 Bayern Munich v Getafe 4 Fiorentina v PSV Uefa Cup semi-final draw: Bayern Munich/Getafe v Leverkusen/Zenit Rangers/Sporting v Fiorentina/PSV That's quite a good draw for Rangers Yep decent draw, have to peform well at home though. Can't see them going through if i'm honest. Thats what everyone said when they got werder...oh apart from me that is.
Tilley Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 They will go through I think but it will end up as a Bayern vs Psv final probably.
shen Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Rangers battered them at home could have been 5-0. What are you talking about? The difference was a couple of big-time howlers by Tim Wiese. And you could just as easily argue that Rangers could have lost 6-0 in Bremen. I'm talking about being disappointed that an entertaining side with plenty of quality has gone out. Oh and what is it about Scottish club being useless away?
Joe. Posted 14 March 2008 Posted 14 March 2008 Rangers will like that draw, I think they would have taken that from the beginning.
shen Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 Anybody watching this tonight? I'm watching Getafe - Bayern, and what a cracker this game is! Getafe down to 10 men after 6 minutes but Contra (what a player) scores on the counter a minute before HT. It's all set up for another pulsating 45...
lildave3 Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 Watching Rangers, probably been 2nd best so far. Sporting hit post and had a shot from Moutinho go inches wide.
