Master Fox Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Damn, I've got £100 riding on Bolton going down!
mancunianfox Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Not suprised. He is a manager who tried to get his squad playing the way he wanted them to play rather than playing to the strengths of his players. Big Sam got things right at Bolton. He got things right there and I think it was definately a case 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' when he left. Sammy Lee tried to change their style of play too much and it hasn't worked. He wasn't really the right person to take over from Allardyce. Paul Jewell would do really well at Bolton. They already have the kind of players that he likes (pacy forward, big forward, tough competitive midfielders) and I think he could most probably get them out of the situation that they are in now. Can't think of anyone better to that job at the minute.
Dames Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 That Iranian fellow will be pleased. The one that called him stupid Sammy Lee.

Jon the Hat Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 You can't follow a bg personality likes Sam with a nice quiet chap. Just doesn't work.
MC Prussian Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Who's in for the job apart from Jewell? Peter Taylor?
Joe. Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Poor Sammy. I was only a matter of time after the start they've had.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Who's in for the job apart from Jewell?Peter Taylor? Jewell, or they'll try and swipe someone who's doing well in our division. They wont hire Taylor.
Geo V Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 That`ll be Anelka fishing for a move come January! Its also another very good coach who has tried his luck at management and not cracked it. He has some very good players at his disposal but has made some weird decisions including not playing Kevin Nolan and him getting sacked was one of the guarantees of the season for me, I'm just gutted I didn't back my judgment and put money on it. I reckon they`ll go for Paul Jewell or Steve Bruce whose days at Brum are apparently numbered.
Simi Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 As Joe said, it was only a matter of time before he left. Jewell will be made the favourite I should think. Then all of the usual names like Kevin Keegan, Glenn Hoddle and George Graham.
