dandannieldanok Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 He got us promoted though and we actually won games at home That was when there was less quality in this division. Debateable.
Master Fox Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Ince or Newell, even if Ince doesn't spend any time on the training ground and still lives up in Liverpool even though he manages MKD. We'll end up with Stuart Pearce
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I fancy a crack at it, to be fair. I'd play people in their correct positions and try to score goals and all sorts of other radical ideas like that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 He got us promoted though and we actually won games at home This division was shit then, we wiped out 3/4 our debts and retained a strong squad which included the like of Izzet, Scowcroft (when he was half decent), Dickov, Dean, Taggs, Elliott etc. He couldn't bring anyone in. Look how it all went tits up when formed his own team. Look at how he did at Cov. Look where he is not ffs, no 2 a pissing Colchester United Debateable. And you can shut it Crainey boy!
The People's Hero Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Colin Hill I'm behind this. In fact, any limited centre back from yesteryear.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 David O'leary will be mentioned, assuming he doesnt get the Rep Ireland job. Glenn Roeder will be in the frame again
ASH17LCFC Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I'm behind this.In fact, any limited centre back from yesteryear. Brian Scarey Carey Will be out of a job soon aswell.

And you may say pissing Colchester United but they are by far a better team than us, and they have actually made Mark Yeates into a good player and play decent attakcing football.
Micky Ruddle Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Micky Adams for christ sake, the only one who could get us playing well at the Walkers. You got the right idea son
MPH Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 can anyone imagine a scenerio where Taggert is in temp charge for 2-3 games, we win them all and......
Ric Flair Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 can anyone imagine a scenerio where Taggert is in temp charge for 2-3 games, we win them all and...... I'd be fairly satisfied with Taggart anyway. I can't see him being any worse than the usual suspects that we will get linked with. The thing is, Norwich and QPR are both still after new managers in this division, so unless Mandaric can pull something out of the bag. Taggart will be caretaker for quite some weeks anyway.

I can really see Norwich as our only competition, it looks ever more likely that Briatore will appoint an Italian that neither us or Norwich would have considered anyway. Could be wrong though.

AT COLCHESTER UNITED!!!
rich1409 Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Personally he's my 1st choice, a great player for City, and now look at what he's doing at Blackpool, I think he'd be a great candidate for the job and a huge fans favourite!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 It's alright, I thought I knew everything about football when I was 13 too.
Micky Ruddle Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 There is a thread for who should replace megson...

Would prefer to keep megson who is at least aiming higher.
bald reynard Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Fully agree. According to the Beeb, he's currently on Norwich's shortlist - so he IS available.
