Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 Im just praying that we can still be in the game at half time. I dread to think how il be feeling if we are 3-0 down at half time noing ive got the journey home. If we can have them 0-0 at half time ill be happy no matter what the final result is Yeah cos if we lose 14-0 we can always say it was 0-0 at half-time and that will shut people up.
Boycie Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 We need to do what Liverpool did to Chelsea last season whenever they played at Anfield get straight out at them. Get it on the front pair early and muscle them out. I know that it is at Stamford Bridge and they have pissed all over Man City but if we get a good start and get to the 60th minute still in the game i reckon we could have a slim chance.

Lisburn Fox Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 I am with the play it safe brigade Fulop Mattock McCauly Kisnorbo N'Gotty Chambers Stearman Weso Maybury (Better defending than Newton) Hume Fryatt Henderson, Sappleton, Newton, Cambell, Kaebi.
maddog Posted 29 October 2007 Author Posted 29 October 2007 Yeah cos if we lose 14-0 we can always say it was 0-0 at half-time and that will shut people up. I just mean that it will feel good to still be in the game at half time. No need to take the piss 2-0 down at half time and a 2-0 loss would be much worse than 0-0 at half time and a 4-0 loss. Lets face it if we go behind to them we aint gonna win.
Boycie Posted 29 October 2007 Posted 29 October 2007 -----------------Fullop-------------------------N'Gotty-Kisnorbo-McAuley------- Stearman---------------------------Sheehan ----------Chambers----Weso--------------- -------------------Hume----------------------- -----------Campbell--Fryatt---------------- Subs: Henderson Mattock Newton Cort Kee/A.Chambers Somehow i think his name will not be in the squad as i spoke to him yesterday, he said there is more chance of Peter Taylor being the new manager.
davieG Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Amazing how we can be down to the bare bones with 2/3 injuries OS Injury Update Posted on: Tue 30 Oct 2007 Caretaker manager Frank Burrows is waiting on the fitness of a number of players ahead of Wednesday night's glamour Carling Cup fourth round tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. James Wesolowski and Iain Hume both picked up knocks in the 2-0 victory over Barnsley at the weekend, while Stephen Clemence is still struggling with a hamstring tear. And with on-loan striker Collins John cup-tied, Burrows confirmed that he could be down to the bare bones for the fixture. He said: "We have got a couple of bumps and scrapes, so we will have to wait and see who is available. "Iain Hume is carrying a slight strain, while young James has tweaked his hamstring. We'll have another look at them both ahead of the game." Leicester have sold out their full allocation of 6,500 tickets for the game, with 40 official coaches travelling from the Walkers Stadium to Stamford Bridge on the day.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Bare bones. Bollocks. We've got 40-odd players.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Bare bones. Bollocks. We've got 40-odd players. Yes, but 25 of which are useless.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Yes, but 25 of which are useless. I don't care. We signed them. We're not down to the bare bones. That phrase annoys me.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I don't care. We signed them. We're not down to the bare bones. That phrase annoys me. Suppose. Anyway CudiciniBelletti Ben Haim Alex Bridge SWP Lampard Sidwell Sinclair Pizarro Shevchenko Thats what the West London rent boys think they'l field Hands up who wants to attack that
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Suppose.Anyway Thats what the West London rent boys think they'l field Hands up who wants to attack that Me. No Terry or Cole through injury. They're down to the bare bones.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Me. No Terry or Cole through injury. They're down to the bare bones.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 So we're looking like; Fulop, Stearman, Sheehan, Kisnorbo, McAuley, N'Gotty, Newton, Chambers, Wesolowski/Hume, Fryatt, Campbell Assuming one of Weso or Hume make it. I reckon?
teblin Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Keep it tight, the longer it goes on the more chance you have! Hmm thats sounds a bit wrong
bigneville Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I think it should be very similar to the formation and structure we played against Aston Villa, and hope we take any chances when we get them. If the game is an open game, its only going to be a case of how many for Chelsea. Keeping things tight is the best option by a mile. Then try to nick one down the other. Being realistic though, i'd just be happy to see City score at Stamford Bridge to be honest.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I think the back five and the strikers probably pick themselves but if Clem, Weso, Hume and King are all out - who will be the third midfielder alongside Chambers and Newton? Pisspoor midfield.

The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Are our players actually fit these days?
Ashley Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I hope Chelsea play all there kids, we might have a chance then
Dr The Singh Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I hope Chelsea play all there kids, we might have a chance then Then again it would be embarrassing if we lost to the kids!!! I would rather see Chelsea put out there best team, finally I can see some good football at a city match!!
Boycie Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I reckon they will play a strong team tomorrow night, i think Lampard will start and Shevchenko aswell. I hope they do play a strongish team because it will make us look better when we win...
Ashley Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 Then again it would be embarrassing if we lost to the kids!!! I would rather see Chelsea put out there best team, finally I can see some good football at a city match!! If we beat Chelsea tomorrow with there normal team I'll be going mad. They havent lost at home for something like 68 league games so... We have a challenge on our hands.
Mikey Posted 30 October 2007 Posted 30 October 2007 I hope Chelsea play all there kids, we might have a chance then Where the optimism eh. I hope they play their First Team because then no-one has a reason to say we didn't properly beat them. It's obvious we are going to win really. That's what Cup Games are all about.
