I look down on her but that's because I am a better person than she is. I like skinny jeans. They aint so bad on women. They test me to the max when i see lads wearing them. But yeah I know what you mean. The problem with 'Indie' is that it is an abbreveation for the work 'Independant'. However, it defeats the object when they all look the same. But its down to personal choice I suppose. I'm honest, I wear the clothes because I like the style. Not because I want to make some big fashion statement. The one thing that annoys me with it is the kids who wear like cassette tapes as belts etc. Thats just nassssty. BIGGEST pet hate though has to go to the poor little souls who live their lives through myspace. Picture comments, bulletins, messages , comments, more bulletins, bulletins begging for comments. I'm going to flip the whole thing on its head now and say something outrageously Daily Mail in that much as I try to keep an open mind, I always expect the worst when the travellers caravans appear on a local beauty spot. I suppose I can blame the media as you never hear 'Gypsies tidy up lay by shocker' or 'travellers pitch in to help old folk', it's usually 'travellers leave dead horse in stream' (this allegedly happened near Anstey a few years ago) or '£20,000 to clear away human faeces'

I loved the fact that you could walk into town using the alleys that ran parallel to Melton Road and Belgrave Road. We used to pretend we were on a covert mission. You'd never get away with that nowadays. Oh, the rough end. I went to Mellor junior for a year before we moved but I doubt if it was the same one as you as it was knocked down the year we moved(nothing to do with me honest).

AFAIK the security in the Shires follow/keep an eye on hoodies; the ones that typically wear white Lonsdale tracksuit bottoms, Fila trainers and Chigago Bulls hood. From my experiences living on the fringe of a rough area, certainly those are the types that give a stranger verbal abuse for no reason other than not looking like Eminen or a "playa" as they call it: "Yuz don't look like a Playa init man" yu iz soft innit, p**sy". Of course they wouldn't dare say this if not backed up with knuckle-scrapping group of mates.

I don't care for R Kelly's music much but that's probably because I'm an old sod who remembers bands that could play instruments and write and read music and spend 3 years in a Ford Transit traveling the length and breadth of Britain before acheiving enough fame status to be able to afford to put petrol in it without resorting to begging off their mothers. . Nowadays all that is needed is to squeal out a cover version of a classic in front of three non-descript judges and they are hailed as the next great discovery until the next series of Factor Idol X Flop .

Religon because i can't stand people who try to preach there beliefs on others and even worse they ones that try and do it on the sly. Thr other day i had some hot bird sit next me on the train then after a couple of minutes started chatting after about 10/15 minutes started talking that she goes to church then started pulling out of her bag all this religious content i soon realised that she wanted me to attend church and not to attend to her needs

We also lived in Belgrave ( dummy town) near Vicarage Lane when my kids were younger and they went to Mellor in the 80s , and there were only about a handful of white kids in the school and suffered alot of bullying and isolation ,( i looked at them through the railings on many occasions and saw them on their own at play times and it was heart breaking ) so we put all our efforts into moving away, (which then meant i worked a lot longer hours and missed a lot of them growing up) i really do believe immigration is fine but its the lower/ working classes that mainly have to deal with the adverse consequences does this make me a racist ?? I dont really know , but i get a bit p*ssed off with guardian readers spouting about tolerance , and yet living in leafy suburbia looking at the rest of the world from their 4x4s
