Thracian Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Hold tight hairy, here's the chap: Based on TPH presumably.
AoWW Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Based on TPH presumably. ... but if he can achieve that distance, I'm impressed.
Hullfox Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Based on TPH presumably. Absolutely unnecessary but absolutely predictable.
Nationwider Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 ... but if he can achieve that distance, I'm impressed. If he can achieve that regular output, then I'm impressed. And he probably represents a bigger threat than global warming to our nation's flood defences.
Daggers Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 Based on TPH presumably. Quality. I can see how you managed to forge a partial-albeit-failed career in journalism now. Well done.
Thracian Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Quality.I can see how you managed to forge a partial-albeit-failed career in journalism now. Well done. In what way was my career "partial" and "failed"?
Daggers Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 In what way was my career "partial" and "failed"? Erm...because it was a brief sojourn and you achieved nothing of any note. Hence your prediliction for belligerence on the internet.
Thracian Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Erm...because it was a brief sojourn and you achieved nothing of any note.Hence your prediliction for belligerence on the internet. Over 20 years isn't brief to me. Indeed it was more than sufficient. And, while success is all relative anyway, you have no idea what I achieved or otherwise. Indeed it would also depend on what you considered to be "achievement". However, as far as I was concerned I did everything I ever wanted to in journalism - and on my own terms for the most part.

Thracian Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Hail the words of one of life's serial failures and under-achievers. How you love giving people labels. It's almost a compulsion. Anyone without a label is a threat. Perhaps it's a comfort thing - almost like the teddy I'd bet your mother gave you as a kid to make you feel safe and secure. It's also more evidence of applying the activists theory that if you play any tune enough, others will start humming it. Pathetic really. Like a repetitive student chant. But failure/under-achiever? Risky words indeed coming from you.

AoWW Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 I'm not so sure why you and Pep were too suprised by this vote, if I'm honest. aw, lil'dave's fantastic. I'd have voted for him... but I'd kinda forgotten all about him.
Thracian Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 I think you should probably look at TPH's signature, you might realise who actually came out with those words originally... Am I contesting who came out with the words originally? I was only pretty well agreeing with what he'd said about himself.

James. Posted 23 November 2007 Posted 23 November 2007 Look out everyone, the cavalry has arrived. I have the image of Ultra riding in on a triumphant stallion. A courageous warrior defending the honour of the forum. Casting aside the non-believers with his mighty sword. Bearing a standard embossed with the timeless portrait of the man they call Thracian. It's a beautiful sight.
