maddog Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 Surely Milan will reveal his new manger tomorrow morning and i think it will be Jean Tigana. In the Merc it said he was going to reveal it this weekend and hasn't, and he needs to fooking do it quickly so the new manager can get to know the players. IF we are going to be in touch and have a chance of the play offs with 10 games to go we need to start winning games now, we are already a good 8 points behind. The manager needs to know the players before the next 2 games. We are only 2 points above the relegation zone and if we only get a point or less from these to matches because the new manager copies Burrows's and Megsons system because he won't have time to teach the players his own new tactics we are in trouble. Milan really needed to bring in the new man last week to give him more time. He needs to get to know all the players thats everyone in the squad including the reserve players so he knows wheather to pick em or not. I can see us losing these next 2 games and falling into the bottom 3 then being stuck there for most of the season out of the play off race all together Lets just hope the new manager and the players click very quickly and we can get 6 points from the next 2 games

We have to be thinking long-term as well as short, and we cannot afford another flop of a manager. It has to be spot-on, and if he hasn't found that guy yet, who will also take the job, then I would prefer to wait longer.

Hope its Tigana althoughlooking like Holloway, if Olly does not resign tomorrow then we still have a chance with Tig, agree that it would be better sorted tomorrow either way !

Tomorrow would be the very earliest... but the smart money is on a Tuesday/Wednesday appointment. Thursday would be a let down in some ways - it gives the new man almost no time to do anything with the squad, which would be upsetting considering there's been no football for us for a two week period.

It could be that he has approached the man he wants and is waiting thier reply, if thats the case then its out of Milans hands... Frustrating or what!!!!

For that to happen whoever it is needs to leave their club first, so if anyone (other than Brucey) leaves their job today or tomorrow that's our guy. If we get someone who's not got a job at the moment, we all know he's second choice.

Maybe Tigana for example wants to finnish work commitments before he joins us

He was my number one choice in the summer before the consensus on here, not for the first time, threw in their opposition on the basis of "not enough experience" and "what success has he had at Macclesfield?" Seems to me his appointment would have saved a lot of wasted time and trouble.
