Tamir Cohen

Tamir Cohen (Hebrew: תמיר כהן‎; born 4 March 1984) is an Israeli footballer currently plying his trade at Maccabi Netanya.

Cohen started his career in Maccabi's youth team where in 2001/2002 he won the double.

His first game in Ligat ha'Al was in November 2002 during Maccabi's 1-0 win over Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, when he came on as a substitute. He scored his first goal in Maccabi's first team against Maccabi Petah Tikva in a 2-1 in the Toto Cup, where he scored the victory goal.

Cohen has 7 appearances in the Israel national under-21 football team. His first appearance in the U-21 team was on the losing side to Cyprus. He is also the son of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Liverpool FC player Avi Cohen.

At the year 2007 Cohen moved to Maccabi Netanya since he didn't get enough playing-minutes at the 2006/07 season and signed at Netanya for three seasons.

He played for the Israel national football team against Croatia on 13 October 2007. Tamir is of Italian ancestry and holds an Italian passport.

Good lad, you're a credit to the team. Another middle eastern enigma?

It'd give Hossein someone to talk to.

yeah.

well, Milan say that he want to signed Tamir right now, to 1 year contrect, with opoinion of three years. he confirmd that he want this player in the team.

in the next days Tamir and his father, Avi Cohen fly to englend to signed the contrect (if everything is gonna be OK).

Milan talk about Guy Levi, the Under 21 Israel national team coach. in israel that is some rumers that Levi is on the way to Leicester. Milan says that he is an opoinion. Milan thinks that the Israeli players are perpect to the English football, and when he was on Pumpi, he was try to get Yossi Benyon, but faild.

Have you herd of this goon?

Read a brief article about him last weekend before Israel played Russia, that was the first time i'd heard of him. Haven't seen him play. Looks like he's highly rated though, but so is Kaebi and he's done fook all here.

Well it's not as if he's had a chance is it.

His record for Maccabi Haifa looks quite impressive.

Interesting but i cant see him coming here if teams like Real Betis want him

They might not be, remeber half of Europe were apaprently intersted in a certain little Iranian who now plays in our reserves.

Ooh a defensive midfielder? We've been crying out for one of those. That, a centre-back and another six goalkeepers and we should storm the division after January.

Well this guy could be a good signing for us. Certainly give Kaebi someone to get along with and we do need another midfielder.

yeah.

opoinion you actually mean option (not trying to have a go... just help you improve your English :))

we need to focus on getting english talent - not another bloody Kaebi

Hey Kaebi is awesome and he should play up front and score all the goals.

Not knocking the idea of an Israeli player playing for City - if they good enough I'd take a tribe of New Guinea pygmies - but the idea of an Israeli and an Iranian rooming together? Make sure you remove any sharp objects first! (From the room, before you're having to do it from the players!)

NB - Of course there are Jews who DON'T hate Arabs and vice versa... but they are sadly in the minority.

Leicester boss Ian Holloway will make Israel midfielder Tamir Cohen his first signing for the Foxes. (The Mirror)
