Or in other words.......................

Has Milan really spent enough money to enable not just Ollie but any of our recent managers to sign the players required to gain promotion?

Personally I think he's fallen well short or figuratively speaking about £8-10 million short.

Yes that is a lot of money but you can't drink champagne with the big boys and then decide to drink lemonade when it's your round.

He made a lot of promise's when he bought the club but has he bitten off more then he can chew?

Probably not but the amount we've spent on fees and wages should be enough to get you pushing for the play-off spots at least. Unfortunately it's been largely squandered.

I think thats a massive understatement, I mean - Hellings, Neilsen, Kaebi, Sappleton, Hayes - just a few of the signings who aren't even making the subs bench never mind first team appearances!!

Bring on Jan transfer market so we can try and turn this chaos into some sort of order!!

some serious serious issues in the summer look to have occured and been brushed under the carpet , lots of questions needed answering and i dont think they were .

I reckon he's fooking sick of this team already so he's going to want to get rid asap, and that means spending 5 million + this xmas, and then storming into the playoffs afret xmas. A good xmas period over the next three weeks and if we are in the top half he'll spend, as soon as we're up he'll off oad, there's foreign money qeueing up to to buy this beraue de change!!!!

2003/2004 - after 19 Premier League games - 18 points

2004/2005 - after 19 games - 24 points

2005/2006 - after 19 games - 21 points

Last season - after 19 games - 22 points

This season - after 19 games - 22 points

Nuff said.

That'll be a no then!

To date we have made absolutely no improvement on the field whatsoever, according to the stats.

With the much heralded takeover and summer signing splurge hopes were raised and, although a number of sensible heads stated that mid-table would be a good goal, many got sucked in to believing MM's fibs about going for promotion in season 1.

We are laughable as a promotion contender.

There is not one player on the field that is currently making any difference to our results, they are hiding. Clemence is better than this and yet he is running from the responsibility, a shadow of his "MVP Season" with Brum.

So, yes - that is a big damn 'No!' from me.

from what i understand Milan is keen for Ollie to spend money in January.. But Ollie, a couple of games ago made comments saying such is tghe class here he might not need to.

I think he might of changed his mind now

Agree with this, Although It was Allen that needed to Answer them. Milan has openly admitted that he signed N'Gotty who has actually been a decent player for us this season, all the rest were signed by Allen and with the odd exception, haven't been up to the standard.

I don't think there is any doubt that Milan will support Ollie in the January window, he may have to sell/release players first to release the wage budget but I think we will see at least 3 players come in... I just hope that common sense prevails and the first signing is Fulop permanently!!

We have to be realistic here.

When MM was on his way we thought he`d spend 5 or 6m in the club on transfers and we were seemingly delighted that we were going from a Bosman club to one that can pay decent fees for this level. I for one was surprised at the amount of money that he has ploughed in to the club for transfer deals and he apparently said he will still back the manager.

There is little doubt that MA and maybe Milan have wasted millions in transfer fees, signing on fees and wages for players who have yet done fook all at the club. Whoever made the decisions to sanction the deals is irrelevant to me but there isn't one signing we have made that I can think of that has proved to be a real success. You only have to look at yesterdays line-up to see how shite our transfer deals have been. The players in bold were here last year and an amazingly just four of this seasons signings featured and one of them who has easily been our best player in Fulop is only on loan whilst another (N`Gotty) was on the bench!

Fulop, Stearman, Kisnorbo, McAuley, Mattock, Maybury (Chambers A 71), Kenton, Clemence ©, Sheehan (King 71), Hume, Cort. Subs not used: Henderson, N'Gotty, Newton.

Anyway, back on topic, MM will have to throw more money on it but it may mean making a loss in the transfer market as I can see players like DJ fooking off for £700-800k in January, Kaebi and Nielsen going back home for nothing, Kisha given a free and maybe even Hellings going as he cant be too happy with defenders playing in midfield whilst he turns out for the ressies.

I don't think much will be spent in january to be honest.

Milan is a tight arse.

From a realists pov, there will be more than enough to spend in January. The promise of money would of been one of Holloways main reasons for coming here in the first place.

i thought he doubled his salary and got a 3 and half year deal ; (that may have been the main reason)

Maybe Milan will get some more money by changing the club's sponsor to CashConverters!!

:crylaugh: obvioulsy there is that but as well as that he will have been promised money even if it's as little as a million plus whatever he sells.

That's not what he said he said that N'Gotty was the only player that Allen didn't know about before he was signed which leaves the door wide open and can be easily translated as MM and Mckay lining up players for Allen who then for whatever reason said ok, maybe he trusted McKay maybe he was intimidated by MM who knows but it doesn't mean that MM or McKay didn't have a big influence on who we signed.

You might also look at the statements by the other McKay involved in the recent arrests who admitted acting as an agent in discussions with MM over several foreign signings.
