maddog Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 Well they have won all their home games and drawn 1 They have lost most of their away games. It's all set up beautifully for Leicester to win on Tuesday at their ground and end their 100% record. And then for them to beat us at the Walkers on Boxing day Seriously though we need points desperately to clear us away from the drop zone. I thought we played better than usual today and were a little unlucky to lose in the end. We are 2 points ahead of the drop zone, after todays defeat i have gave up totally on the play offs theres no chance of us achieving anything in the league this season other than avoiding relegation. Another relegation battle looks set and im ready for it, come on Leicester What are your views on us winning this game Tuesday, their record has to end some point?
danny. Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 our away form is good (well compared to home, haha), but against Ipswich I would be very pleased with a point. I think a win is not feasible.
WetFlannel Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 i dont think we can afford a point in the circunstances, 3 points is vital at the moment and hopefully gain some momentum...
danny. Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 just cos we can't afford not to get 3 wins doesnt mean we will get them!
maddog Posted 8 December 2007 Author Posted 8 December 2007 Must be 5 seasons since we last won 3 league games in a row. We need to win a hell of a lot more than that in a row if we stand any chance of reaching the playoffs. We are just miles and miles behind now, i still believe if we kept MA after that 4-1 win against Watford we would be up there and certainly better than 20th where we are now
danny. Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 if we kept MA after that 4-1 win against Watford we would be up there and certainly better than 20th where we are now moot point.

Yaxx Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 Well if Olly stops pissing about with the team and formation then maybe we'll have a chance.
WetFlannel Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 Well if Olly stops pissing about with the team and formation then maybe we'll have a chance. hes only just joined, i suppose he has to try things out and see what/who works best... give him time
David O'Leary Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 Looking foward to the Live Chat, it was good against Burnley, unlike the commentry
Yaxx Posted 8 December 2007 Posted 8 December 2007 hes only just joined, i suppose he has to try things out and see what/who works best... give him time Yes, don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Olly but surely that's what the training pitch is for? Maybe I'm just frustrated at today's performance. We can't keep carrying on like this though.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Errr they haven't got a 100% record! They don't, they drew with Barnsley last week at home 0-0.
FilboFox Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Its not that we could win... we really NEED to win! The more the players lose, the less confident we get and the harder it is for Ollie to get us playing well... IF we win at their place then it could actually be a VERY good thing indeed! It'll mean that we were the FIRST team to win there this season and that would be a good confidence booster for a squad thats falling apart as we speak really...
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Must be 5 seasons since we last won 3 league games in a row Last season. 2-0 @ Ipswich, 3-0 v Cov, 1-0 @ Burnley.
FilboFox Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Last season. 2-0 @ Ipswich, 3-0 v Cov, 1-0 @ Burnley. Them were the days... None conceded and 6 goals scored in 3 matches...
Simi Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Them were the days... None conceded and 6 goals scored in 3 matches... Yet we only just survived relegation.
barmy76uk Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Yet we only just survived relegation. 4-0 to ipswich maybe 5!
WetFlannel Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 did anyone see counago's (sp?) goal, pure class
Raj Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 We are gonna get fcuking tonked....or get a jammy 1-0....or a draw!!! One of the 3 options....maybe
Foxhateram Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 4-0 to ipswich maybe 5! So the best defence in the league is just going to fall apart! ffs. i dont care if u were being sarcastic its a stupid comment. I think wel get caught pushing for a win, just like yesterday. we see it all the time at leicester, and it will happen tomorow, im going for a 2-1 win for Ipswitch.

I think wel get caught pushing for a win, just like yesterday. we see it all the time at leicester, and it will happen tomorow, im going for a 2-1 win for Ipswitch. The reason we had/have the best defence in the lead is because we have constantly fielded teams with 7 or 8 defenders in them.
barmy76uk Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 We'll get a proper spanking. I can foresee it. We will lose 4 or 5-0 and then all you puppets will be calling for Holloway to be sacked!
