Bryn Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 I think you should all show a bit of dignity in defeat. You have no devine right to win anywhere least of all at Hull. You were the poorest team at the Kc this season so far. You had one shot on target in the first half and were anonymous in the second. You can always tell when the football argument has been lost, as the posts drift into insults about stadiums, fans and the irrelevant merits of the City you are visiting. Don't make the mistake of thinking you are too big a club for Lge 1 it will only end in hartbreak if it happens. anyways best wishes for the rest of the season. Quite right too, my fellow "inbred".

I'd be concered if we wern't the poorest team at the KC this season!! Thanks anyway mate, good luck. we cannot win football arguments at the moment. It's all potential and hope and much of that is being lost as we speak. Thought even though we were bad you were good certainly better than your league position. Folan looked a real threat.

Cheers, this division is all over the place, for us to finish in mid table after two tough seasons back at this level, would be progress. (Yes I can remeber the last time we were in this divison) Our Last weeks heavy defeats came as a reality check for our "newcomers" you need to give Ollie time to build his own squad, then judge him on that. After all he did a right good job at Plymouth.
OzFox311 Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 One thing to say about this performance: Absolutely useless. That is all.

Maybes Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Todays game made me question myself. Why week after week do I follow these bunch of tossers around the country?I have a list of reasons that is endless. The majority of the squad are so inept it is unbelievable. The are only a small select of players that I would want to keep at this club. Roll on January I say and see what holloway can muster up. Oh and before I go I hate Richard Stearman so much. He is a useless w@nker just like most of the retards we have in our squad. Stephen Clemence. Thank you for coming over to the fans at the end of the game. You were the ONLY player that looked remotely interested in the happenings on the pitch. Shame there arn't many other players in the squad that have the same amount of quality that you posses. Rant over.

Bluemoon Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Oliie obviously gave the team a massive bollocking at full time. Fair play to him, there's so many lazy, useless players there... Ian Holloway says he told his players a few 'home truths' following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City at the KC Stadium. The Foxes boss kept his side in the dressing room for almost an hour following the game after goals from Caleb Folan and Frazier Campbell had condemned the Leicester to their fourth defeat in five matches. And speaking at his post-match press conference, Holloway confirmed that he hadn't held back from telling his players exactly how he felt about their performance. He said: "I'm disappointed to say the least - speechless really. "I told every one of them what I thought of them after the game and I think I am the only person who does. I told them the truth. "I don't know what reaction that will have. We will have to wait and see. I have just told them that if that was my team of players that I had brought to the club out there then I am sure I would get the sack in the morning. "The problem here was caused in the summer when new players came in. I think there is a massive disunity and I see that more than ever when we go behind. "A few of these boys have let themselves down and I want them to start from Monday being like the teams I have had in the past. They have always told each other exactly how they feel, what they feel about each other and what they expect from each other, because when we are under pressure I don't like the look of us at all. "They were unrecognisable today to the team that beat Bristol City - but we scored against Bristol City and goals give you belief. I don't think they can wait for January. They know that was not acceptable. The good news is I will be able to do something about it. "The players forgot all that we had practiced once they had gone behind. That's unacceptable. "I feel for the Leicester City fans, I really do. "I knew there was a big job to do when I came here but it is obviously a bigger job than I thought it was." And Holloway also confirmed that he had already started to make moves on the transfer front. He added: "Milan (Mandaric) is fully behind what I am trying to do. He knows where mistakes were made and he knows what we want. We had a very productive meeting yesterday (Friday) and there will be a few things happening. "I have got three trialists coming to the club on Monday and I have also put in bids for two players." Is it only me or am I hearing a manager blaming everyone but himself. I do not want Holloway to go, but he can't carry on leaking to the press how crap he thinks the players are. Seems to me that when the chips are down his man management skills are crap, bordering on paranoic anger. Wake up Ollie, stop leaking your nonsense to the press, and get down to work building the players confidences.

Bert Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Was it ever in any doubt?? 3-1 up and you fooked it up. I left my rudeboi coat in your car. Wear it if you like, until you give it me back. How's all the hotties?

They crumbled under the imense pressure we put on them. Most of the biatches have gone 'ome matey. Only 4 left EDIT: Going back to the game. I think the fact that when we had a shot on target we cheered as if we had scored, sumed the game up really.
volpeazzurro Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 Remember how the tactically inept Micky Adams used to weave his magic with his substitutions? Tactic 1 - Take your wingers off and put 1 or 2 big men up front. Oops, now we've not got anyone to cross the ball to them. Oh well, we'll just have to lump the ball up to them with their backs to goal, that should work! Tactic 2 - Take your big men off and put 2 wingers on. Damn, didn't think about that did I, we're getting the ball into the middle but nobodies there to nod it in! Not rocket science is it really, so what did 'Ollie do today?' In fairness, Sheehan and Kaebi arn't wingers, they're full backs trying to do a job that they're not good enough for, but neither is Fryatt a left winger or midfielder thats likely to cross the ball in for Cort or John. What about Hayes, he's a winger who can put a half decent cross in? Despite this we've surely got to stick with Ollie as this constant sacking of managers is getting a joke. I don't blame MA either for this debacle as I believe most of these duffers were sanctioned by MM who doesn't quite frankly seem to have much of a clue. Lets hope this time he leaves the manager to manage and keeps his nose out, albeit it is his money. You wouldn't employ a plumber then go out and buy a load of pipes and taps and then tell him to see what he can make with them. The plumber usually knows what bits he requires if he's any good. Cheers!
Matt Posted 16 December 2007 Posted 16 December 2007 5 managers, No change in the players. Does that tell you something? Granted would could have just picked 5 bad manager that didn't work for us, but the chance are and if you actually watch games you find it's the players. How can Ollie do anything till he's able to get the players he wants? If he gets the players he wants and we're still shit or he's still making bad decisions then is when you can have a go at him.

Seems to me that when the chips are down his man management skills are crap, bordering on paranoic anger. Wake up Ollie, stop leaking your nonsense to the press, and get down to work building the players confidences. Everything is wrong at the moment. A chairman who makes everyone nervous, a manager who makes already uncertain players yet more doubtful by questioning their suitablility for the job and the cause, players who feel wronged in public by the manager as well as doubtful about their futures and fans who contribute to the sour atmosphere by publicly lambasting certain players and generally enhancing the manager's perceived view that the team is crap, not that they sounded crap against Bristol City! Psychologically all these factors and others are working against us and giving us an even greater handicap than the events of this season have already made inevitable. To emphasise how important I think stability is right now I put aside my vision of a return to an attacking Leicester City and supported Megson because, ugly football or not, he got us playing to what strengths we have and fairly effeciently with it. He did really well in the circumstances of Martin Allen's departure. And that need for stability hasn't changed because Holloway's arrived. I can easily criticise certain things he's done, I'd criticise his defence overload at Burnley, his seemingly endless changes, his 4-5-1 at home and his incomprehensible tactics yesterday... But nothing but stability and support will give him, our team or our club a chance of coming through this home-made crisis with our Championship status intact. I criticised Mandaric for his reputation for disloyalty when he sacked Allen and now he's got the chance with Holloway to to show that he has changed and is prepared to take time to get the best out of people. Holloway would never have been my favoured choice at Leicester but he's the one who's had the nerve to take us on. I'd like to see him stop criticising the team in public, I'd like to see him stop making so many changes and I'd like to see him show more tactical know-how. But I'd also like to see him get a fair chance to do that.

That's brilliant Thrach, when exactly are you going to give him a fair chance? Your call for support was tucked away at the end of a dozen digs. 1)Everything is wrong at the moment. 2)A manager who makes already uncertain players yet more doubtful by questioning their suitablility for the job and the cause, 3)Players who feel wronged in public by the manager 4)The manager's perceived view that the team is crap, 5)I can easily criticise certain things he's done, 6)I'd criticise his defence overload at Burnley, 7)His seemingly endless changes, 8)His 4-5-1 at home 9)His incomprehensible tactics yesterday... 10)I'd like to see him stop criticising the team in public, 11)I'd like to see him stop making so many changes and 12)I'd like to see him show more tactical know-how.
