Holloway the right man for the job?

Your all deluded fools!

Your grammar error proves us all right that your mental age is about 5.

You quite clearly don't know anything about football.

Remember we have the best academy in the country and players that all the other championship teams would love in there squads, why wait till we are relegated, get rid of him now!!!!!!!!!!!

If he cant pick a good eleven from our squad that can challenge teams he is no good for nothing! We have many internationals, under 21 internationals and many top players in this league,i think the club are too big for Holloway or he is getting his own back on Leicester for not taking him before when he got put on garden leave at QPR,he was very bitter after that!!!!!!!!!

Clearly you are very very stupid person.

Best players in the league :crylaugh:

Thats why we are 20th is it.

That joke was on par with your attendances.

Go and practise them in your little Ginsters sponsored Argyle boards, then try them in here.

I'll be your judge if you like.

I can't even eat a Ginsters pastie now, because i know it's made by tossers.

:crylaugh:

So true.

I've not been impressed by the start Ollie has made. Allen and Megson got better results from this group of players.

Far too early to hand him his p45 though surely...let's see what he brings in in the January sales!

What's Sheehan in this little analogy?

The teaboy?

Whatever he is, no doubt Kaebi will be a suicide bomber or double agent that should be executed.

I will say definately not,hes doing a very poor job and his selections and tactics are very poor!

Looks like we are stuck with another deadwood manager on a long contract!

Geez we have some mindless fools on this forum :frusty:

Look, he's who we've got - getting ANOTHER manager in would be just plain ludicrous!

I would attribute a large portion of our woes to the fact that we have had 4 different managers this season - a 5th would NOT improve the situation! :frusty: (I seem to be using that emote a lot recently)

How can anyone question Ollie? If they can think of a better alternative im all for suggestions, until then, they can be grateful Ollie bothered to come here in the first place...

Dont panic I am sure Ollie will turn it round for you, judge him at the end of February and if you are still in the bottom six, shoot him!

The damage was done a long time ago .....it wasn't Ollie's fault. Wea re stuffed at the moment. My gripe though is that whatever is going on at the moment is worse than it's ever been.

Ollie was supposed to be a tub thumper and motivator, but all I hear are excuses, blaming of the players, and "wait till January".

He sounds like some USA presidential no hoper praying for "the big Mo". Sadly, I think he has lost all credibility, but we have no option but to stick with him. We will be lucky to avoid relegation. light years away from a promotion capable team

Have you been watching the last 3 and a half years? You make it sound like Ollie is the one who brought us in to this mess. The fact is that you are the one who is deluded - we clearly don't have the players who are capable of "challenging" as you would suggest. We have been crap for 3 1/2 years now and each and every manager who has come in has tried and failed to improve the situation. OLLIE HAS NOT YET HAD THAT CHANCE so fooking lay off.

yes he has. He has had the chance to do at least as well as the previous guys in charge. He is not shaping up well. At least the other managers weren't being disloyal to the players through the press. He is breaking a n unwritten rule in sport - don't dis your players in public. But what the hell! he dosen't mind. It's all getting a bit worrying and all the more so because we have no choice but to stick with this amateur for the forseeable future. I wish he'd shut his mouth.

I have and never will boo the players like some, but a manager, well there's a different story. Get it right Ollie!! but mainly stop criticising the players in public

So you would like him to come out saying...

" We will go back to the training ground on monday and will re-double our efforts"

"We have a smashing bunch of lads"

Sometimes the players need a damn good rollocking to get them going abit.

However, he does seem to contradict himself abit. A few weeks ago after the carl cort saga and the such lark he was moaning becuase we jeered. No he seems to be doing the same thing in the dressing room. :dunno: Food for thought

In my nutshell...

He wasn't the preferred choice for the job, but so many of the buggers turned us down, he was the best of the "C" list.

Like Allen and Megson, I wouldn't have appointed him personally, but at some stage someone's going to have to have a proper crack at doing this job - for the sake of some continuity, I'd like it to be him for the reason that we just can't afford another change in manager. The club would simply have no credibility left.

He has inherited a mess - a fact he reminds us of every day. It will probably get worse before it gets better. The 07/08 relegation battle will probably be a case of fighting our way out of the zone, rather than avoiding dropping into it.

Every manager deserves a proper pre-season to get their own players in and their methods across. Holloway has overseen two promotions and assembled a decent CCC side in Plymouth. There has to be something about him. He needs to get us safely to May and then try to clear out the deadwood.

More in hope than in expectation, I want him to stay and be left alone for the next 12 months by Mandy and the boo-boys alike in order to mould some sort of cohesive team/squad/club.

What do some Leicester fans want?

Jose Mourinho as manager?

Thierry Henry as our star striker?

Ronaldinho as the guy to provide goals and class?

Us to win every game 7-0 with Carl Cort?

When the hell will some fans wake up and realize we get what we can get, we ain't a superpower we will NEVER be a superpower, i wish some of these fools as fans will just buck there ideas up abit and just back whoever is in charge, give them time and let them be judged on who they sign and don't fooking moan about who it is either, because i don't think it can get any worse with what we have at the moment!

Holloway needs at least a full year to establish his total mark on this football club, he is using other managers players and most of them are just not good enough, or are being drowned out by the total crap they play alongside..

I saw some people saying judge Holloway in February? FEBRUARY? are you having a laugh? what one month of potential new signings and we are gonna just all of a sudden win the league/get play-offs? do you think he will bulid something in a month to make us a good CCC side? don't be so stupid..!! Like i said before judge him totally in a year..he needs the time to bulid something here and i am confident he can, he must have something about him look what he did at QPR and Plymouth..he needs time when are some of you gonna realize that?

Ollie has recognized our problems and now we need to get behind him and his future NEW team, he will get the players he needs in and i am confident we can slowly move up the table, but write this season off, Ollie needs to just bulid from Jan and bulid on results that will hopefully push up to a 12th/14th finishing position and then in the summer bulid some more and go full steam next season, that from my knowledge is EXACTLY what he did at Plymouth and he will have a hell of alot more money to spend here..

Some people may have questioned some of his tactics, decisions..well he's playing with what he has, have you ever thought he is simply just looking at IF there's any diamonds in the rough (which there isn't) and trying to play tactics to how he thinks the players may respond more to, yes they may not be working but i believe that goes hand in hand with the players he has, so when he gets better players in we should see the results pan out better!

Also what pisses me off is some of the petty comments i have seen around places about him having a column, releasing a book, etc..ummm so bloody what? i mean Jesus H Christ, them comments i have seen are just pettyness in the highest order, i am just waiting for people to say his heart isn't in management or he's just wanting to become a star instead, etc, etc..OH WAIT! hasn't that already started?

Yes i was quite a happy fan when Ollie was announced as manager as i took notice of what he had achieved with other clubs and i believe he can better it here but he needs TIME! to get everything right, remember Ollie will also learn more about himself in that time aswell!

I believe time is always needed, you need a good year to put your full mark on things, i judge managers after a year and who they sign/what they do, i gave Levein the chance, Kelly and even Megson would have got my time because that is what you need time, there is no quick fix no more i believe, time is needed and with Ollie i believe time will reap it's rewards

How on earth can you see that five weeks is enough of a chance? By previous guys I hope you just mean Megson because he is the only one who you can draw a direct comparison to. Martin Allen was using Martin Allen's squad (sorry for the Micky Adams-esque style) which Megson and now Holloway have tried to make the best out of and both have struggled - but even Megson didn't have enough of a chance to turn things around. Let him have his chance to bring players in at the very least and if we're still shite, then yes - maybe just maybe he isn't the man for us but even three/four months isn't really long enough to judge a manager.

The fact of the matter is, he has done wonders at a club like Plymouth given the time to do it - and we have a substantially worse squad than them proven by our relative league performances over the past few seasons.

In terms of your comments about criticising the players in public - I kind of agree but he's trying something different to get the players motivated. We've tried the softly softly approach, the lets be their best friend approach and they have both failed to yield results, so maybe a kick up the backside in public to make them response is the only way left.

I'll personally give him as much time as he wants as he has proven he can do a very decent job with a smaller club (not team for all you invading PAFC fans) at this level. If we end up in the slums of League One or are still battling relegation in the Championship in a season or two time, then I'll admit I was wrong but I don't think I would be.
