Simi Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 Bit late, our OS informed us of this ages ago...oh wait it didn't.
Nath. Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 No first team appearances, and only a few appearances for the reserves, waste of money paying his wages!
danny. Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Premiership, we're having a laugh. wrong thread?
Monk Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Strange that a player of that alleged caliber could not break into the team at all. Not sure if there is an story we're not hearing or if he was just plain shit? Oh well. One less wage on the books I guess.
Thracian Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 wrong thread? No. The decision on Ferreira somehow reflected the taunting song of Hull fans on Saturday. The money wasted on Ferreira was only one example among many and if ordinary fans could see weeks ago that such spending was folly why did so-called professionals at our club keep making such apparently ridiculous errors of judgement. Ferreira's time here was punctuated by injuries but he never looked fit when he arrived so WHY was he signed? Who was responsible for monitoring his fitness and, as he supposedly didn't settle, who had considered his suitability for English football? Nielsen's going too and others will follow I've no doubt, together making up to a sizeable catalogue of strange, totally unproductive signings that all raise more questions than answers.

An international player, from a well decorated european team, signed on deadline day, to keep the fans happy of an under-achieving football club.
Big Time Charlies Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 This is going to be a common occurence over the coming months - unsettled players brought in by a manager who has now long gone being moved on/up/out/wherever. In the case of this Portugeezer at least we didn't have to pay off a huge contract to get rid! I think its a good sign - Ollie is starting to shape the team into what he wants them to be. It's going to be painfully expensive but for the best in the long run. Well that's what I think anyway
DanTheFox07 Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Hopefully This is just the start of getting rid of players who are clearly surplus to requirements! Who is this Adda Djerzi too, ex rangers reject get rid of him aswell along with Jimmy no mates, Maybury, Douglas, can`t think of more off the top of my head but those deffo need to jog on.

Think he went a while back
Thracian Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Think he went a while back He wasn't in the reserves squad at Forest this week and his last appearance from memory was in the 3-1 Westerby Cup play-off defeat against Hinckley United. Djiziri was another member of our mysterious foreign legion - I've put that in small letters because the real Foreign Legion were renowned for their attitude and fighting qualities. Djiziri had skills, no question. But I likened him to a clockwork dancing fairy. Too often he'd stand almost on the same spot to do his tricks of the dancing feet rather than driving past people or giving the ball quickly and moving to a more dangerous place. Opponents closed him down fast, denied him space and so much promise invariably petered out embarrassingly. Alternatively defenders simply ignored those twinkling feet and just flattened him. Either way he made little impression. He did improve slightly over a couple of months - even having a hand in one, perhaps two goals - but he never looked first team material.
Bert Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Whenever i seen Djeziri out. He always seemed a bit too full of himself.
Thracian Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Whenever i seen Djeziri out. He always seemed a bit too full of himself. If he doesn't believe in himself no-one else is likely to.
Bert Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 If he doesn't believe in himself no-one else is likely to. Very true. He was out with a few others too, Kingy, Magunda Beswick - these just seemed like they wanted to have a good night out, Adda, always took it one step too far.
Geo V Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Wasted business. Why get him and not get him fit and try him in the first team? Bad management all-round.
Asha Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Wasted business. Why get him and not get him fit and try him in the first team? Bad management all-round. Ferreira was bought in just after Martin Allen left, so was therefore not Megson's signing. So neither Megson or Holloway really want him at the club, therefore as its only loan its easy to terminate. They shouldn't feel pressured to play him if they didn't bring him in and he's not as good. I would have ended the loan if I were Ollie.
