Milan Speaks - 5 new faces - maybe?

Recommended Posts

You idiots - the faces refer to Milan's.

We've seen the 'I've always supported this club which is why I came here' face. He followed that up with the 'I'm serious about promotion face'. There there has been the 'You have to trust me about this' face, the 'Fans are to blame for not supporting properly' face and the 'I am only speaking to the police through my solicitor from now on' face.

I can't say I've cared for any of them that much as the season has progressed and I'm not looking forward to discovering what faces he has planned. Going on his form so far they will be absolute shit.

ALL the players have got one on one meetings with Holloway before the end of tomorrow, to discuss there futures.

Where did you find this out Ched?

Sound comments. He was unambiguous about his intention to support Holloway and that's reassuring, providing he stands by his word and I think it's as important for him as for the manager that he does.

I warned it would be hard keeping a big squad happy when so many wouldn't be playing and I hope we show the sense to trim the squad and go for quality rather than quantity.

Even if we eventually go down I can see no sense in changing the manager again this season or probably next - at least until the Christmas 2008.

Whoever is brought in - and they've all got to sign yet - they will take time to settle in with the other players and to start functioning as a unit. It might not happen quickly and, with other struggling teams showing signs of improvement, we might still fail to make suficient headway to avoid the drop.

Whatever, Holloway needs chance to put his own side together just like Levein and Kelly did. Any further change of manager will only set that process back but there may come a time when many won't believe that, particularly if our crisis deepens and will start demanding another leader's head.

Time, I think, for MM and the fans to show some nerve. And to hope the new players are the real business this time.

The best possible January for me would be signing fulop permanantly and then sign the 5 players needed iE Avrand traore loan from arsenal, Lee martin loan from man u, sinclair loan from chelsea and then bring in kavanaugh and howard. One more thing? is Sinclair on loan at QPR till January and is martin still on loan at plymouth?

Played for Chelsea last night, looked out of his depth.

To those who love to mock and knock Milan, its just another sign that he wants us to do better and is prepared to back up his words with money. Its nothing most sane fans were not already aware of but some still think he is the devil whatever he does.

All we need is Ollie to be good in the transfer market and we`ll be OK lol

Bring on January!!! The transfer window can't come soon enough!! I'm dreading Christmas and watching us against Ipswicha dn Charlton!! I hate to be a pessimest, but I can't see anything other than 2 defeats :dunno:

Yeh but how much money!? That will be the key. We can't have another half arsed effort like in the Summer window. We need quality and will probably have to spend few million to get it!

Connolly and Howard up front partnership, now that's sounding a lot more promising! Back to the big and small combo again like the old days! Hume on right or sitting in the hole behind, with two good wingers in and a solid midfielder! Sounds promising, we could be saved from relegation yet!!! :scarf:

Mate thats unfair. Turn the clock back say six months and we thought he may spend a few million over the next 3 years. He spent £1.6m just on DJ!!! He spent a good few million on transfers, wages and signing-on fees and just a few months later he is throwing more money at it when he could simply say to Ollie, make do with the big squad you have and lets see again in the summer!

Agreed, imagine spending a few million on shite. I wouldn't be exactly pleased with my investment

Here we go again!!!

It dosesn't matter how many new faces he brings in, if they're anything like the last batch we're fcuked.

thats what we need, Don't know about anybody else but with them upfront I think we'd be looking at more than just saving from relegation

Howards playing for Derby today and looking decent - I worry Jewel's got him in his plans, as Jewel knows even if he's not Prem quality he's most likely going to playing Championship football next season.
