Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 The addition of Kokopops to the FT F1 season ticket clan has brought the welcome return of the Man-Hug to the goal celebrations. Of course, actually scoring goals helps with this. My favourite of all time is probably Palace away this season - immortalised forever with that (in)famous video on Kokopops' camera. So many of us were there. Going back further we obviously have Walsh's goal in the 3-3 with Arsenal - the video of the South Stand celebrating that is incredible and it really does come flooding back. Pure elation. I'm sure a few of you will bring Preston to the metaphorical table. What are your favourite memories of celebrating Leicester goals?
Craig Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Chelsea, falling down 3 rows, that was carnage. It hurt, but well worth it! Same with Forest and Villa. Arsenal at the Walkers was special too, as was the 3-3 game.

I think I elbowed Holly in the face and then mass carnage across the floor, involving LD3 jumping from his seat to about three rows down to where everyone was! Chelsea as well was special. I went and stood with Tommeh for the second half and when Campbell scored it was mental. Preston as well, I just remember jumping on Wils and screaming so loud it hurt my throat. Then finding out Leeds has lost was well and truly the icing on the cake.

Broken seats, an airborne LD3, a pile of bodies - what more could you want. I was in the top tier of the double decker for THAT Arsenal game. Amazing experience. Others... Chelsea and Fulham away. Wembley against Tranmere. Hume's Joey's (you nob!) half way line goal against Hull purely for the disbelief. Loads more surely from the Premiership years, I just can't remember...

Id just got meesen back to the missus when Cort scored i was duly straight back down tut rows again! Quality.

Free Falling Foxes Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I can't belive no one has mentioned Thompsons equaliser v Swindon in the play-off final. We were 3-0 down too! I've never experienced elation like it - I was hugging a big fat bloke whos eyes were popping out his head. We were leaping up onto the seats and generally going mental. When I had calmed, I was struggling to get my breath - totally exhausted. It was then I felt pain on my shin, there was a massive graze. I must have hit it on someting whilst leaping around. I hadn't felt a thing! Walsh's winner against Derby was special too. I was next to the gangway, near the top and ended-up at the bottom. No idea how. How times have changed. Sometimes now I don't even stand-up when we score - though I did yesterday. FFF

We beat Sheff Weds 2-1 to mathmatically secure our premiership status in 1997. Matty Elliot scored with a low shot on 89 minutes or something to the like. Everyone in the stadium was chanting 'We are staying up'. Me and my dad had a season ticket on the front row of the upper tier of the carling stand, and in the box below us all of the reserve players were going nuts. It was a great sight. That 2nd goal at Palace was absolute mayhem though, certainly one of my funniest moments at any game I've been to, bar maybe yesterday's incident with the ref....

Corky Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Hignett's equaliser against Arsenal was quite a celebration. If you see a replay of that goal the camera was shaking with the noise. One of my favourites. Also the Fryatt winner at Barnsley, and Trevor Benjamin's goal at Rotherham. There was a mini-pitch invasion from some supporters. The was also a great celebration in 2002/2003, at home to Durrby County, when Deano slotted in the second goal, and then Dickov slammed in the third for a 3-1 win. The place went mental. Happy days. You do get some great memories and moments supporting Leicester City, the greatest football club in the world

Corky Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 My personal favourite celebration was not at a match actually. It was the Charlton cup match, when Dion scored the winner. I had a ticket but wasn't feeling well, so followed the match on Sky Sports at home. My Dad and brother went though. When Charlie Nicholas said we had won it, I jumped up, ready to run upstairs to tell my mum, but on the way, banged my foot on the wall, and fell down in agony. God it hurt, but the result made up for it

Also, the 3-2 win over Tottenham was superb. When De Vries scored it was absolutely fantastic. Along those lines was the Villa game last season- Kisnorbo's equaliser/ Hendo's penalty save.

A panoramic shot of the contrast between the Palace fans and the Leicester fans? You got my mate Dave shaking his head in disbelief, most people wait a lifetime to see something like that. :laugh:
