cisono Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 In the clash of the heavyweight titans, where do your loyalties lay? Absolutely nowhere
Joe. Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Magners and Bulmers = The same thing virtually. But seeing as I currently have a Magners I've plumped for that.
BigGibbo Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Magners and Bulmers = The same thing virtually. But seeing as I currently have a Magners I've plumped for that. I disagree Magners is spot on in the summer but Bulmers is like a no frills copycat version but without the cheaper price.
James. Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Isn't it about time some "proper" cider drinker waded in with pompous accusations about the manhood of people who drink Magners, Bulmers, etc?
Zingari Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 your not a real man unless you can drink a couple of bottles of babycham ; with at least 2 cherries in each
Alexikokopops Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Not enough places sell St Hellier, grrr. I prefer it to Kopparberg, but that still tickles my fancy. It's all about Weston's Perry though.
BigGibbo Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 your not a real man unless you can drink a couple of bottles of babycham ; with at least 2 cherries in each I draw the line at Froze' thats been my Christmas tipple (Rose' wine designed to be served chilled on the rocks not in any way unmanly im sure you'll agree )
NorthernFox Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Thatcher's KATY @ a very nice 7.4% will do very nicely... (Asda oop North stock it)
The Reverend Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I draw the line at Froze' thats been my Christmas tipple (Rose' wine designed to be served chilled on the rocks not in any way unmanly im sure you'll agree ) Puff.
Finnegan Posted 27 December 2007 Author Posted 27 December 2007 St. Helier > Kopparberg. St. Helier's crisp, a bit more mature, a bit more tasty. Kopparberg's just pear juice with sugar. A lot, a lot of sugar.
General Smuts Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Koppaberg apple cider is the shiznit but your not a real man till you can drink 8 pints of scrumpy jack without your insides being on the outside!
Matt Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 All to sweet, Strongbow Had a Bulmers the other week...Gave me a hangover (I honestly think it was down to the Bulmers...I did have about 4 or 5 pints, and a Guinness but i'm blaming the Bulmers)
Webbo Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Like I give a flying f##k about girly fruit based drinks. EDIT: I do quite like a drop of Croft original though.
Bryn Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Thatcher's KATY @ a very nice 7.4% will do very nicely... (Asda oop North stock it) Good stuff that Strongbow, Magner's, both good, and Woodpecker is sickeningly cheap round here so if you've fook all money for the pub it's a safe bet.
Finnegan Posted 27 December 2007 Author Posted 27 December 2007 you're all scum. St Helier on ice > Magners on ice.
Finchy Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 you're all scum. St Helier on ice > Magners on ice. Cider with no ice > St Helier on ice > Magners on ice.
Finnegan Posted 27 December 2007 Author Posted 27 December 2007 Cider with no ice > St Helier on ice > Magners on ice. I agree and disagree. If I'm drinking to drink then yeah, sure. If I'm drinking to relax, St Helier on ice is divine.
Finchy Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Well if your drinking for the taste no ice is better.
