Maybes Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 We should all hold hands at the match and rejoice to praise the lord
Tommeh Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 It's the same old arguments on here. You can't hear L1 that well from the South stand. I know because I sat in the South stand for half a season. You can't hear the South stand that well from L1. I know because I've been in L1 for a season and a bit now. Of course you can hear the South stand on occasions when they all get going but you can also hear L1 from the South stand on occasions. It's tit for tat. All I can say is that I feel like I've been involved in creating an atmosphere at the end of a match having been in L1. I didn't use to feel like that at the end of matches when I was in the South stand. There used to be more 'chavs' in L1 last season but since the STH only scheme was brought in, there aren't many at all. I assume it's because many 'chavs don't mind coming to the odd game to get the buzz of taunting away fans but they're not willing to shell out £200+ to do so every other weekend. Much better in there this season. Great point that. I dont really care what people say but I think that L1 being ST only is a great idea, its the same people week in week out and its always full (top 15 rows anyway I cant see the botton half) Last season there were a few chavs and complete dicks going to the odd games, kids for a quid springs to mind. Which is one o0f the reasons I tried out the N block scheme and fully enjoyed it but when it didn't work there was only going to be one place I was going back to, yes L1. Its always a decent laugh up there and there are some great characters who come out with some brilliant quites game to game. It basically is beginning to feel like one big unit and one big family in a strage sort of way and if I'm honest if another sheme was put up to move the kop or set up a singing section came up yes I'd sign it but move there? probably not.
Maybes Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I'm sorry mate. But you have a problem.I watched you put your stereo under your chair. "Everyone checks the glovebox first, they wont know what's hit them" Maybe I do put it there.

Carl Cort, Theres only 1 Carl Cort . Ben and Steve crack me up.
Finnegan Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Are you actually an idiot?!?! First of all L1 is full of thugs, now the kop is. Are we allowed any fans that sing that without them being called thugs. I sit in D2 and i've never seen any thugs in there. Standing up and singing makes you a thug hey ? Did you stop and consider that it's this, exact, stupidity I'm talking about? When you stop singing about how shit Nottingham is or knocking out the ever-so-creative "Du du du, fooking Useless!" and start getting behind your actual team, I'll retract the statement. I'd like to say the rest of the crowd generally impressed me the last few games.
Bert Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Maybe I do put it there. HAHA. Easiest thing would be to put it in the but eh?
Tommeh Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Carl Cort, Theres only 1 Carl Cort . Ben and Steve crack me up. They were the ones who cheered chris powell when his name got read out wern't they then shouted "go on chris" Cracked me up that did.
Bert Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Carl Cort, Theres only 1 Carl Cort . Ben and Steve crack me up. Chris Powelll. HAHA. One of the best moments in L1 was defiently Cardiff - * Hands in the air - OOOOOAAAAAHHHHH*
Jack Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Chris Powelll. HAHA.One of the best moments in L1 was defiently Cardiff - * Hands in the air - OOOOOAAAAAHHHHH* Taking the piss out of West Brom, doing that boing boing was good aswell
Corky Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 At least L1 get behind the team. For 10 minutes non-stop there was a chorus of "Ollie's Army". Brilliant support, one of the better atmospheres down there in a long time. You could tell it fired the players up as well. Not everyone who stands and sings at football is a hooligan, it used to be that most of the ground stood, at Filbert Street with the terraces. Were they all thugs? Personally I think it is great they stand up and get behind the team, Ollie can here them, acknowledge them, but I also heard the Kop sing as well, and some of the Family Stand joined in. I think it was a great idea that L1 became ST only, and also to bring in the drum. Same people, all trying to sing= better atmosphere= players more motivated.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 They were the ones who cheered chris powell when his name got read out wern't they then shouted "go on chris" Cracked me up that did. You can't beat a bit of "COOOOOMMMMEEEE ONNN YOOOOOUUU BLUE BOYSSSSS" every now and again too!
