Kilworthfox Posted 30 December 2007 Author Posted 30 December 2007 G'won . . . . Well he dived and made out he was hurt so the ref would stop play. However the ref did not so, Someone started chanting W*nk*r constantly and the whole block joined in. He got it every time he complained , even Bougerha? got it at 1 point not clever, but definitely got the message across.
Maybes Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 willy puller willy puller willy puller willy puller.Repeat 'til bored. Using that word at a football match is going abit OTT isn't it?
Simi Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Using that word at a football match is going abit OTT isn't it? Ain't you going to "boo" Berty back?
shrood Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 For Euro Games, it is the best in the country. For League games it is pish, I would rather be at the walkers, no lie. Interesting. It was just the fuss they made about incorporating an almost identical kop into the stadium because it was the life and soul of the club etc etc that made me think it must have a real buzz about it still. Why such a dramatic difference for euro games?!
Father Ted Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Your post is very Hypocritical. Where were you in Nblock? Why don't you move further back in the kop and help those starting the chants? Why don't you lobby your MP about standing? Why don't you sign the petition on StandUpSitDown Banter with away fans is awesome, but I would quite happily sacrifice that for a proper kop. (And I don't mean one like liverpool ) No I wasn't in Nblock I do sit high in the Kop but I am forced to sit with family. And I have signed the petition.

Why such a dramatic difference for euro games?! I know two of the reasons the atmosphere is declining... It's due to tourism and alot of people attending their first games...

Tommy G Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Don't you get annoyed with the chavs who sit near you in L1..? I mean the 14/15yr old one's who love the banter with the away fans but make a quick exit come full time. There not even real fans, they just go to get a kick out of swearing at fully grown men and getting away with it because they know they wont get hurt inside the ground. I would rather sit in the kop to enjoy the game, with a bit of atmosphere instead of being surrounded by half of Beaumont Leys youth annoying me for 90 mins. I mean do they even watch the game FFS?
Sods Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 The Shit thing about L1 is, that if a switch was possibly made from the South to North stand i don't think people would move again and L1 wouldn't join as their having a great time.

Depends how the club approached it. If they sent out letters/made announcements in the media stating they were doing this to get all the vocal support united, I don't see any reason why L1ers wouldn't switch round to the other side of the away fans. They can shout at them all they want.
Daggers Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I know two of the reasons the atmosphere is declining... It's due to tourism and alot of people attending their first games... Yea - fucking thomas Cook bastards

You don't even go to the games. Let alone sit in L1. So how can you say that it's full of 15 year old chavs? In the whole of L1, I've seen about 6 people that are under 16, and they all join in with the singing, and very rarely do anything to provoke the away fans. I had the same judgment of you about L1. Then i went over and seen that it wasn't how I'd first perceived it to be. I enjoy the Matchday (as much as possible ) much more in L1 than i did in the Krazy kop.

And how the fook do you know about whether I go or don't go detective? I mainly don't go through choice, but often have the option of tickets through work. I've sat in L1 twice, in previous seasons. And judging it on those occasions then I have the view of what I've posted previously.
Finnegan Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I have to be honest. I sit in neither L1 or the Kop, but from a neutral stand point I think the Kop has really improved over the last couple of games. Maybe it's festive cheer, maybe it's the Ollie factor - I don't know. But I've never, EVER been that impressed with L1. I can hear them, but they just sing the same rubbish the thugs in D2 (I think it's D2? The end of the Kop near C2, at the back) do.

shrood Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 the thugs in D2 (I think it's D2? The end of the Kop near C2, at the back) do. Are you actually an idiot?!?! First of all L1 is full of thugs, now the kop is. Are we allowed any fans that sing that without them being called thugs.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 It's the same old arguments on here. You can't hear L1 that well from the South stand. I know because I sat in the South stand for half a season. You can't hear the South stand that well from L1. I know because I've been in L1 for a season and a bit now. Of course you can hear the South stand on occasions when they all get going but you can also hear L1 from the South stand on occasions. It's tit for tat. All I can say is that I feel like I've been involved in creating an atmosphere at the end of a match having been in L1. I didn't use to feel like that at the end of matches when I was in the South stand. There used to be more 'chavs' in L1 last season but since the STH only scheme was brought in, there aren't many at all. I assume it's because many 'chavs don't mind coming to the odd game to get the buzz of taunting away fans but they're not willing to shell out £200+ to do so every other weekend. Much better in there this season.

Tommy G Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I get the vibe from this thread people feel more superior because they sit (stand) in L1?
Hugo Sanchez Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I get the vibe from this thread people feel more superior because they sit (stand) in L1? Oh yes because they should fell less superior to a guy who been to only 4 games and gets them free from work.
Kilworthfox Posted 30 December 2007 Author Posted 30 December 2007 I get the vibe from this thread people feel more superior because they sit (stand) in L1? I sit in L1! I'm great! Possibly the Greatest!
