Daggers Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 You seem to have spectacularly misunderstood my post. Basically, we are agreed on all of those points except, perhaps, the acoustics! Read it again and you'll see I have absolutely no issues with L1 and K1. I hope he isn't a teacher of English then
foss1884 Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 You seem to have spectacularly misunderstood my post. Basically, we are agreed on all of those points except, perhaps, the acoustics! Read it again and you'll see I have absolutely no issues with L1 and K1. I fear you have spectacularly misunderstood my post as i was reinforcing what you were saying, apart from the matter regarding the acoustics. I find it startling how people can blame atmosphere on the idea that the acoustics are bad. If enough supporters make noise collectively, it will be heard. It is not rocket science! By making reference to acoustics is supporters desperately clinging on to an excuse for a lack of support. If the so-called acoustics are that bad, there would not be the huge variation in atmosphere that we see on a game-by-game basis. The truth in all of this, is if the away fans can be heard from the other end of the stadium and Ian Holloway can hear L1 from the dugout, there is nothing wrong with the acoustics!
shrood Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Those in L1 claiming it's louder than the kop are wrong. Maybe sound doesn't travel well so you can't hear it's actually really good. I sit further down the east stand and here's a video of it I took at the Ipswich match

Father Ted Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 I am getting pretty fed up with all this L1 stuff and those boasting that it's better than other places in the stadium. I know that noise may not travel that far but if I am right the drum does nothing. I only ever here 2/3 times in a game. I sit in F1 and I would like to be jumping, standing and singing but I can't because I feel I would make a fool of myself. And I believe many people also have that burning desire within themselves. But songs about Andy Impey and give me a 'D', 'I', 'S', 'C' and 'O'. Let's all have a disco are just irrelevant. Although it did make me laugh And i'm sure he must have Foxestalk . Anyway, if those who actually kick off the singing can do it all game then maybe it would be better in the Kop. Maybe if we can do what we did against Birmingham last season in the Kop every game I am sure it will improve.

Father Ted Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 Yeah but in the kop you miss the banter with the away fans. What, lobbing coins ?
Bert Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 What, lobbing coins ? You're right. That happens every single game.
James. Posted 30 December 2007 Posted 30 December 2007 What, lobbing coins ? You going for the Most Ironic Username award or something?

Why don't you move further back in the kop and help those starting the chants? Why don't you lobby your MP about standing? Why don't you sign the petition on StandUpSitDown Banter with away fans is awesome, but I would quite happily sacrifice that for a proper kop. (And I don't mean one like liverpool )
