Give Fryatt a 7 I'd agree with that.

Sheehan was garbage today no matter what Dr.Spin says, all I want for Christmas is Tony Capaldi.

Who is giving Sheenan silly ratings...the sub was subbed he was a clueless muppet today!

Fulop 5 - first time I've seen him flapping, and it cost us 2 points.

Stearman 7 solid for large parts of the game

Kisnorbo 6

McAuley 6

Mattock 5 not enough time to make a notable contribution

N'Gotty 5 some sloppy marking today

Clemence 7 back on track

Kenton 6 we learnt he ain't no winger, but he coped ok ish with being played seriously out of position

Hume 6

Fryatt 7 good control and movement unlucky not to score.

John 4 shite. send him back to Fulham

Hayes 6 looked out of his depth. didn't seem to have a position for large parts of the game. I felt it was the wrong sub to make at the time.

Sheehan 5 the free kicks just about all he did, and should have followed up fryatts chance that was saved!

Wesolowski 6 did ok for the time he was on the pitch

Curry with mablo, ormonpops and fez - 9

A point deserved for us imo, should of won it though. You're progressing slowly. We need to start winning to get some confindence in the players.

Fulop - 5.5 (Only poor game in a City shirt)

Stearman - 6.5 (Another sound preformance. Not as good as previous two games. He missed Chambers energy and positional play in front of him. Great cross for the goal

Kisnorbo - 7 ( Another good performance)

McAuley - 6 (Distribution continues to let him down, but does a good job defensively)

Mattock - 6

Kenton - 4 (Poor in midfiled and almost as bad at left back. Contantly turned, and regularly lost concentartion)

Clemence - 7.5 (My MoM for city and not just for the goal)

N Gotty - 7 (His best display so far in midfiled

Hume - 5 (Work rate was great but once again lacks the quality when it counts. Poor decisions and passing constantly let him down. Good thing about him is that he would be honest enough to admit it!)

John - 5

Fryatt - 6.5

Subs

Sheehan - 2 (Shocking. Had he been out on the beer or was he at the beginning of a virus. Gets the 2 for a superb free-kick. Other than that totally inept!)

Hayes - 5

Weso - N/A

A very poor game. Charlton were very disappointing. I thought our standard dropped from the previous two games, partly as a result of a number of changes before (Chambers) and during (Mattock, John) the game. but also because at least three players were shockingly poor today. When that happens you usually get murdered. Fortunately Charlton had an equal number who grossly under-performed!

I thought Sheehan looked as though he knew it was a big chance for him today and I think he was like a rabbit in the headlights.

If he doesn't have the composure to perform in a match like yesterday, he is going to struggle to maintain a presence in the match day squad.

One thing is for sure, Holloway is not going to accept passengers and against Charlton Sheehan was in that bracket.

His set pieces are as we know good but one yesterday's showing he is a luxury we can ill afford.

Fulop - 6.5

Only had one testing shot to save. At fault for their goal.

Stearman - 7

Not as good as against Ipswich, but he was up against a better opponent in Thomas.

Kisnorbo - 8.5*

Again he was commanding despite Iwelumo being around.

McAuley - 7.5

Solid.

Mattock - N/A

Not on long enough.

Kenton - 6

Not really fair to ask him play to right wing and was swiftly moved to left back when realising it was the wrong move. I assume Holloway wanted Kenton to play like Chambers and give Stearman the license to bomb on. He did a solid job at left back.

Clemence - 8

Looks like he's returning back to form. Distribution not great, but he put himself about and worked well with N'Gotty. Good to see him get forward in to the area for the goal - it's not often we see midfielders get in to that position.

N'Gotty - 7

Didn't enjoy the same space and time like he did against Ipswich but he was still a calming influence.

Hume - 6.5

Failed short again with his final ball and general impact. Shame he didn't push McCarthy hard enough.

Fryatt - 6.5

Showed some nice touches and link up play, but as a striker he didn't get in to positions to score.

John - N/A

Not on long enough.

Subs:

Sheehan - 4

Slow and anonymous.

Hayes - 6

Showed some lively moments but not suited to the right wing.

Wesolowski - N/A

Not on long enough.

Is that to say you think Charlton should have won it?

Fulop 5 The first bad game I have seen him have for Leicester. Keepers shouldn't try and clamber over crowds of players.

Stearman 7 Quite why he gets loads of stick I don't know. Runs with the ball, offers an option for whoever has the ball and a great ball for the goal.

McAuley 6 Distribution is woeful, when we sign a midfield I would like to see Bruno play along sign Paddy K.

Kisnorbo 8 Back to his commanding and composed best.

Mattock n/a Injured obviously

Kenton 5 Should never have been asked to play on the right wing, was solid if unspectacular at left back.

Bruno 5 Hasn't got the legs to be playing centre midfield, but he has the composure to pass the ball adaquetely.

CLemence 6 Good goal and tried to make stuff happen, I still think he is better sitting as a midfield player than he is running forwards.

Hume 6 Huffed and puffed but ultimately end product was lacking today, scuffed his best chance.

Fryatt 7 Exellent movement and composure on the ball but didn't look much of a goal threat. When he and Hume play they both drop short for the ball meaning there is no threat in behind.

John 6 Injured before he got going really.

***Subs***

Hayes 5 Looked better on the left than the right but is tactically naive at times.

Sheehan 3 Never a winger ina million years, he likes to play with everythign in front of him and is not comfortable recieving the ball back to goal. Can't beat a man and that left foot of his doesn't look so spectacular unless there is no one with in 10 yards of him.

Weso 5 Not fit.

Holloway 3 Very bad. Kenton right midfield? Then brought on two left wingers, one of which is an out of place full back, meaning we had no balance on either wings. When we went 1-0 up we then converted to a disjointed 4-5-1 and hoofed, inviting pressure.

I've offered my view on the above to Fez. But on the subject of Capaldi I'd simply say about his season so far: No goals, one assist, almost universally indifferent reports on his form from Cardiff fans.

Fulop 6 Didn't have a great deal to do, good save with his knees but he should have done better with their goal as his punch was too weak. Glad we are putting a bid in for him though.

Stearman 7.5 Has been very consistent in the three games since Hull. Nothing was getting past him against Charlton and tried to get forward too. He committed himself into everything and I liked his mazy run in the last few minutes :)

Kisnorbo 7 Had his best game for us in a while imo.

McAuley 6 Pretty good defensively but his distribution was poor.

Mattock 5 Got injured early. Didn't do much until then.

N'Gotty 5 He is definitely not a midfielder.

Clemence 6 Often looked slow and got caught in possession. Goal and some good tackles were good points.

Kenton 5 Gave away silly freekicks and didn't get forward at all. I think he played in three different positions though during the course of the game so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hume 5 Worst game I've seen him have for us in a while. Worked hard as ever but offered little attacking threat and the ball always looked like it was trapped between his legs.

Fryatt 8 Worked his arse off and was our brightest player by a mile. Has worked hard on his pace and got into the wide positions nobody else was getting into. Good touch at all times and he always looked skillfull. Should have had a goal in the first half and with a bit more power the defender wouldn't have cleared it off the line.

John 5 Didn't do much.

Hayes 4 Completely clueless most of the time and did very little. Again out of position on the right but he didn't trouble Charlton once during the game.

Sheehan 4 Awful. Made mistakes, lost possession.

Weso 5 Didn't do a lot but was out of position on the right hand side.

Charlton were abysmal with the exception of Zheng Zhi and the two central defenders and we really should have beaten them. Iwelumo should have been sent off as well and for the first time in ages I was very dissapointed when McCarthy's goal went in. I think we are getting much closer to being a good side though and with some midfielders that allow our strikers to get in the box results should improve drastically.

Anything to dry and defend Sheehan eh?

If we had a poll - Capaldi or Sheehan, Capaldi would win hands down.

Capaldi's main object is to defend, not score goals.

We had a poll re Mattock and Sheehan and Sheehan won hands down. Didn't prove anything.

I'll reserve judgement on Capaldi til I see him.

But the stats and comments don't inspire me.

And he's got a tough target.

Our defence has conceded slightly less than a goal a game this season and either Sheehan or Mattock have appeared in every single game.

And you might think a defender's main object is to defend but I wouldn't dream of chucking away the goals contribution of someone like Sheehan.

Nils was a defensive defender. We actually conceded more goals on average during last season than we have conceded so far.

Me neither, but i just think Capaldi would offer us much more than Sheehan does/would.
