Leicester City look set to be backed by a bumper Foxes following when they take on Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

The Club confirmed on Wednesday morning that they had already sold over 1,300 tickets for the contest.

The Blue Army have been out in force for the Carling Cup games against Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Chelsea this season.

And the fans will be backing City in their numbers once again for the FA Cup fixture against George Burley's Saints this weekend.

Many supporters will be travelling down to the South Coast in the hope of seeing new signings Steve Howard and Barry Hayles in action. Tickets are priced at just £15 for adults, £5 for seniors and £1 for under 16s.

Supporters can secure their tickets from the Walkers Stadium ticket office up until 10am on Saturday morning.

Fans will also be able to purchase their tickets from St Mary's on the day of the game up until kick-off - subject to availability.

Meanwhile, supporters are reminded that tickets remain on general sale for Leicester upcoming home game against Coventry City on Saturday, January 12.

The "Bumper" threshold gets smaller every week. Last week 24,000 was a "bumper" crowd. This week 1,300 is a "bumper" away following.

Just shut up and buy some midfielders you f**king c**ts.

1'400. Give me a break. We have shite fans, and that is not a good away support. Good teams would EASILY take that everywhere, regardless of results.

Idiots.

Alright, then.

You simply cannot do that at home, can you?

Btw, I miss the option "Football fans are... forever masochist."

Alright lads take it easy. They're just tryna sell a few more tickets so creat a bit of an income and a better atmosphere. They're hardly likely to call it a 'dissapointing but not disgraceful 1,300'

I would. It's disgracefull that our own fans think we are a big club & then can't even take 2k to a ****ing FA CUP game.

Gets right on my nerves. I don't care how shit we are, thats no excuse.

We took 3k to Fulham last season, and that was for a midweek fixture!

Every year I live in hope that this will be OUR year to lift the cup, although this year our chances seem more remote than ever.

A decent cup run is vital to us for all kinds of reasons.

And with the saints apparently in even worse form than us right now, there's no reason why we shouldn't start one on Saturday.

Of course we did, the people who came out of the woodwork for Forest and Chelsea were tempted by that one.

For me options 11 and 14 in the poll are true. I absolutely love the FA Cup. True, it is a bit of a nothing draw in that its not a big club or a small one, so we'll play them this season anyway, but its still a bit disappoing numbers. Still not as bad as the ~500 at Colchester, at least.

I'm going to Saints. And the correct medical term for that is a right ****ing nutter.

1,300 is laughable.

I hate the way the club patronises us like this.

We took 6,500 to Chelsea for a midweek game. Yet we take 1,300 to a 3rd Round Cup tie on a Saturday. Our following is atrocious.

When was the last time we sold out an away allocation for a league match?

Good point, probably Cov, and that was a while ago, or maybe Derby.

And their only derby games, which is expected. Think Col U away last year, but what is that? Everyone takes maximum to that.

to be honest we need to start shrugging off our 'big club' label (in the context of the championship) and wake up. if we ever get more than 24,000 you can guarantee that's because of freebies , and the away followings this season have been (nearly) as poor as the football. there were only about 1000 people at qpr..... looking at my programme from qpr now i see that wolves took 2,600 there this season...wednesday took 2,800...so did southampton and even ipswich managed just under 2,500.

tho be honest i don't blame those who stay at home....it's only by putting up with the shit this season that you realise why so many stay away. i just wish

they wouldn't creep out of the woodwork so enthusiastically for the glamour ties (e.g. chelski)

I am disappointed. I would have loved to be going on Saturday (normally go to St Marys with a Southampton season-ticket holder but he isn't going so can't get down there), but I thought with the lower ticket prices we would get at least 2,000 going.

Our away support has really gone down this year. Normally we have a strong away following, but this year, no. I will be at Norwich on the 19th though.

Apparently we sold out our allocation at Charlton which was 1600 but in the programme it says we only took 1510 so I'm not sure

No chance.

They didn't even bother opening up the section at the back which most teams fill.

Intresting.

My dad was tellling me about when we played Norwich in the prem. We'd been relegated and they were to join us if they lost, and we took 5k with a special train put on for 800 fans.

No it's "TERRIFIC BLUE ARMY" 1300 for an FA Cup game to Southampton. Oh dear  What have we become. I guess it's more to do with the state of the game more than any other factor.

Although saying that, can't complain about prices for once!
