He can set prices as high as he likes, he's four days in to the window and needs to spend a good 8 million himself if he wants to have a prayer of staying up.

Let's see if he wants the same money and those surplus players on his wage bill come January 31st.......

Correct he can, but it's similar to a situation here, This is a chance Keano can use to offload some players that are no use to him, He isn't using Kavanagh therefore whats the point in keeping him? Obviously he won't let him go for free when he can make some money from him, but I dare say we made a decent offer not a million pound, but a fair offer, We have 14 (?) players here that Ollie has told to find new clubs no doubt any sniff of abit of money for any of those players (Within reason) we'll accept, I would have though Keano would be looking to do a similar rebuild?!

i want kavanagh here but not for that price. keane hasn't got a clue when it comes to transfers. he will probably put the price up for any player that we bid for from sunderland because of what ollie said about him.

Yeah, absolutely, that's my point, Matt, he's holding out for a bit more cash but the truth is that he really wants to offload these players. It's poker. That's why Ollie being on TV screaming that he's being unreasonable and that we won't pay those silly prices is just playing him at his own game. He'll compromise or he'll play their wages while they do sweet fa for Sunderland next season. He's hoping someone dafter than Leicester will come in and give bigger cash...... It'll be a different story later on in the month. It'll be Sunderland phoning MM. The deal is dead in the water because we are silent playing the waiting game, waiting for the bluff to cave and it will have to.
