Sparky Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 news of the world claims leicester ipswich burnley and west brom join the chase for lutons fleet footed winger David Bell. Watched him agaist Liverpool today and he showed a fair bit of promise , may be worth a shout and cant imagine he would cost much
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Even with the Anfield replay, Luton's financial position will still be perilous, so they're unlikely to turn down any sensible offers, and there may be a chance of a bargain if the interest from other clubs doesn't materialise
David Guiza Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 should be good if he plays how he did today well better then hayles or fryatt right wing
davieG Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 should be good if he plays how he did today well better then hayles or fryatt right wing I'd better than those two and I'm in my dotage and left footed to boot!
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 From what i seen of luton today they look a very good energetic side, i do like the look of that Talbot boy he tormented the liverpool defence something rotton. Bell had a fairish game but would like to see a bit more of him he might have been a bit nervous today with it being liverpool + t.v. cameras

T'would be better than Fryatt or Hayles in that position. I don't know much about the lad, anyone got any info?
Craig Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 David Bell is not as good as everyone thinks, believe me.
Darkzzz_ Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 David Bell is not as good as everyone thinks, believe me. i know for sure he is a good player, he has shown the potential right from his youth days. Its great to see him getting talked about, hope he has many years in the top leagues.
filbertway Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 David Bell is not as good as everyone thinks, believe me. He's got a mean strike on him though. What about that Edwads that played for Luton he looked decent. Billy Mckinley esque

They are sure to get promoted. I think the choice between them and a team trying to dodge relegation, is quite an easy choice! And you couldnt blame him for that!
TheBlinding Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 I swear there was someone on in the summer that said Bell was a Leicester fan and wanted to come to us, or did I imagine that?

sham Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 I swear there was someone on in the summer that said Bell was a Leicester fan and wanted to come to us, or did I imagine that? just looking at his profile and says he was born in kettering so i guess he is a leicester supporter? advantageous for us?
CKB Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 just looking at his profile and says he was born in kettering so i guess he is a leicester supporter?advantageous for us? He will probably end up signing for Forest now...
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 He will probably end up signing for Forest now... Thats right he was born in kettering but grew up in wellingborough. My brother played in the same team with him for a bout 5 years and he easily stood out as he was a cracking player. He seems to have got even better, i dont think he is a Leicester fan, im pretty sure i remember him being a Liverpool fan to be honest!
The People's Hero Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 We should definitely sign him. Luton are in trouble and will have to listen to offers. Should also look at Spring (central midfield) and Dean Brill (keeper).

After watching the Luton v Liverpool game yesterday, he certainly stood out amongst the players, along with Currie, playing on the opposite wing. Seemed pretty decent and could do a better job than anyone in our team at the minute!

Thought Currie was on his way down the footballing ladder... still, we'll see what Holloway has up his sleeve.

Seemed pretty decent and could do a better job than anyone in our team at the minute! I thought Currie was their best player yesterday and put some good crosses into the box. Nobody to get on the end of them though. Brill looked good as well. That save he made from the shot that took that deflection was awesome. Watched the game in a pub in Trafford...they (United supporters) were loving Riise's og.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Currie is getting on a bit now. Let's just leave him to be a decent ageing League One winger, eh? Edwards is the one I'd be looking at.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I still can't believe how shit Liverpool were yesterday.
mancunianfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I still can't believe how shit Liverpool were yesterday. They couldn't deal with being closed down like that could they? They were misplacing passes all over the pitch. Without Gerrard they couldn't break Luton down...their midfield looked useless. I think they were lucky to get a draw tbh. Drew Talbot worked hard but he wasted so many opportunities.
Ultra Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I still can't believe how shit Liverpool were yesterday. I can. Take Gerrard and Torres out and they are nothing. Even City could have given them a game yesterday..
