Manwell Pablo Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I can. Take Gerrard and Torres out and they are nothing. Even City could have given them a game yesterday.. .....You're still looking at a team of full international players, they got ripped apart by Far Darren Currie ffs.
mancunianfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I can. Take Gerrard and Torres out and they are nothing. Even City could have given them a game yesterday.. ScrumpyFox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Thats right he was born in kettering but grew up in wellingborough. My brother played in the same team with him for a bout 5 years and he easily stood out as he was a cracking player. He seems to have got even better, i dont think he is a Leicester fan, im pretty sure i remember him being a Liverpool fan to be honest! He is an arsenal fan, I went to the emirates with him in october. And yes, he would be interested in coming to us but we havent even got anywhere near making an offer. only serious interest has come from villa, portsmouth and west brom. baggies are the only ones to have made an offer
The Reverend Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 *note to self - dust table of cocaine residue prior to photographing money* Ooooops, shit.....
Staf Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Good young player but if he is a left winger than i cant see him coming
Simi Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I thought Currie was their best player yesterday and put some good crosses into the box. Nobody to get on the end of them though. Brill looked good as well. That save he made from the shot that took that deflection was awesome. Watched the game in a pub in Trafford...they (United supporters) were loving Riise's og. Currie certainly looked a good player. But it seems he fancies himself as a bit of a big time Charlie who doesn't like the simple ball at all.
Bryn Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Matthew Spring is a tidy little player. Reminds me a little of Matt Oakley at Derby for some reason.
Super Arj Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 From what i seen of luton today they look a very good energetic side, i do like the look of that Talbot boy he tormented the liverpool defence something rotton.Bell had a fairish game but would like to see a bit more of him he might have been a bit nervous today with it being liverpool + t.v. cameras i agree get talbot in
Narborough Bod Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 i agreeget talbot in talbot wasn't bad, worked his socks off but missed an absolute sitter from inside the 6 yard box. another striker that can't score... currie can't hack it at our level, was awesome for Wycombe a few years ago and may have been with them around about the time of 'that' game. But he was cack at ipswich and couldn't make the grade. remember, all players raise their game for the big matches...didn't we do it ealier in the season against Chelsea? Cort A. Chambers Odihambo Kee Sappleton Dodds Hammond Hume Fryatt Howard Hayles CF FC to take on right back FC And I haven't included Collins John Probably put Kenton in their too as he seems to taken on Marc North's utility mantle!!

Brainy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 It was one performance. I was impressed with the effort of Talbot, and performances from Edwards, Bell and Currie. But it was the biggest game of their life (for the younger players anyway) and they would be motivated. They'll probably revert back to their mid-table performances on Saturday like most clubs do after holding a big club in the FA Cup.

Strikers FC was already done by James The Blue, it was the catalyst for Right Back FC
Craig Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 David Bell is NOT the answer to our problems. It was ONE cup match, he's unbelievably inconsistant. Carl Cort played well against Chelsea...
Narborough Bod Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Strikers FC was already done by James The Blue, it was the catalyst for Right Back FC dam it, new to this, ideas above my station. I'm back off into the background.
Soar Fox Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 His girlfriend lives in Leicester and is pregnant. So I think if we made him and Luton a sensible offer we are in pole position.
Nick Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 His girlfriend lives in Leicester and is pregnant. So I think if we made him and Luton a sensible offer we are in pole position. OOOh I'm so tempted to post my idea of some possible proposals.........
The People's Hero Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Matthew Spring is a tidy little player. Reminds me a little of Matt Oakley at Derby for some reason. I doubt he'll be at Luton much longer. We should definitely swoop for him.

Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I doubt he'll be at Luton much longer. We should definitely swoop for him. I can't believe he went back to Luton from Watford, he's always stuck me as a quality player for this division and he went back there knowing that they were likely to be relegated.

If his girlfriend lives in Leicester, Lutons nearer to Leicester than Watford
morris1234 Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 But weve got Bori now! and when he gets tired or injured or suspended, oh yeah sorry weve got kenton! (sorry for snapping ie not been able to have a go at LFF as much lately)
culllcfc Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I saw him play against Leicester in a pre season friendly against Rusden a couple of years back. He was by far the best player on the pitch. It was clear to see that he had good technique, ball control and passing ability. And yes, city had the reserves out and Rusden weren’t very good so it didn’t take a lot to stand out in that game. But it was obvious to see he was a good player with potential. I’ve not seen him play since so cannot comment on recent performances. From what I saw that night and comments on here I think he’d be a decent player for us.
