Hammster Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 changed my mistake with the team dont i feel a twat
Koke Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Hume must now show us that he can be our main striker. Finally he is going to be playing up front alongside a player capable of heading the ball and playing up front with wingers supplying good quality service from the flanks (hopefully). I hope he gets a run in the team alongside Howard with the two Hungarian boys on the wing, Clemence and Osbourne behind, I think once we have that system we'll be able to see Hume's full potential. If he doesn't show any I think Ollie should show him the door come the summer, we have got to the stage where hard work simply isn't enough. Hume got a rather good goal scoring record. What do you want from him? 20+ per season? If so, then you having a laugh. Hume scores his fair share of goals, works his socks off and on top of that he's been played in midfield for a good part of this season.
Solihullfox Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Listened to Radio Leicester just after 6pm news tonight. Ollie was asked by Barber about this weeks transfer activity, which I didn't hear on the LCW interview, and our esteemed leader sounded pretty piss*d off to me. Ollie confirmed that he had LOST out on a couple of signings that he had expected to sort out and another couple of transfers were not moving as fast as he hoped. IH was asked who we have missed out on but he wouldn't say. Might have been my interpretation but he seemed fed up that more hasn't happened. Not having had time to trawl through all the transfer posts this evening, so hope the question doesn't duplicate but, I presume Lee Martin going to Sheff Utd was one we have lost on, who is the other one ?
onetruefox Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 fcuk it,Ive decided,am having an indian takeaway tonight,I cant be arsed to cook.

As has happened previously, we are paying for our League position and for the general concern about which way we are going. I did think our transfer window activity wouldn't be anything like as easy as some on here seemed to believe.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Hume got a rather good goal scoring record. What do you want from him? 20+ per season? Ermmm.....yes, that's the point, you won't get nowhere in this division without a goalscorer.
Koke Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 Ermmm.....yes, that's the point, you won't get nowhere in this division without a goalscorer. Hume will never get you 20 odd goals a season. He's not that type of player. 7 goals in 26 games this season. Most games he was played out wide just to accommodate Fryatt or whoever and yet he's still our top scorer.

That's why I'll be looking for him to prove himself as a striker now it appears he'll play alongside a proper centre forward and hopefully decent service from the wings too.

Ebanks-blake and Edwards! Good days work for wolves i think! I think bradley johnson too but im not bothered about missing out on him At least Osbourne deal done!

He even said it himself. Rob Kelly said that Hume will score you 12 - 15 spectacular goals in a season. Hume is not a 'fox in the box' that is why he does score 20+ goals, he tends to drop deep.

He has never played with a good target man while he has been here, be interesting to see how he get on alonh side howaard.

mancunianfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I think excellent is going over the top slightly. I say slightly, I mean alot. I thought he had a very good game against Charlton as well. Him, Zheng Zhi and maybe Stearman were the only players who played well in that game.

Lee Martin for definite. Bradley Johnson, i'm not so sure on, I can't imagine we were that bothered on that one. I have a feeling we might have been in for Chaplow.
The People's Hero Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I can't decide whether to have pie or cod for dinner tonight. What sort of pie? Cod pie? If its red meat go with the pie Went for home made fish n chips. Cheese, biscuits and red wine for dessert. Tonight? I don't know yet.
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 Went for home made fish n chips.Cheese, biscuits and red wine for dessert. Tonight? I don't know yet. Mediterranean Eggs.
The People's Hero Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Mediterranean Eggs. Interesting. I got a right bollocking last night for buying and then cooking some battery farmed eggs for my girlfriend. She's always maintained you can taste the difference between them but to be fair, she was loving the eggs and did so until she later saw the box in the fridge with 'CAGED HENS' written all over in in vindictive, incriminating, bold red ink. What the badger are Mediterranean Eggs? And can I serve them without being strung up for being cruel to animals?

The People's Hero Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Didn't kavanagh say he want to stay at sunderland. Only after he saw the rest of our squad!
The Stig Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Good to see Hume starting up front but that will no start for Fryatt unless he plays just behind the strikers ? Fryatt never scores. Therefore he needs to be dropped. Simple as that. I'm fed up of having strikers at this club that just don't score goals.

I'm a fan of Matty but if a decent bid comes in for him we should sell, yes he has potential but he's not delivering and we HAVE to stop carrying people, it's not like it was when Heskey wasn't a regular scorer as he set so many up but Fryatt isn't even doing that ...
