Geordie Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Then we might become a middle of the table side. Thankfully these new signings will be signallingan end to the career of Iain Hume at the club, as it would appear Holloway loves Campbell and Fryatt. Good riddance Hume, it has been painful. If he can get a right back and 2 central defenders then we can say goodbye to the last of the losers who have plagued us for the last 3 seasons. Hopefully Kisnorbo and McAuley will be out the door soon too.
Sirloin Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Do you find it hard to get the lids off jam jars?

Geordie Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 How has Fryatt proved to be less of a loser than Hume? He hasn't but at least he has a football brain and the manager seems to like him.

Toby or not Toby Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 How can you call hume a loser, hes our top scorer still! hes one player who i feel is quality, and actually cares when he plays!
Bert Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Then we might become a middle of the table side. Hume's interview today, the reporter says something along the lines of "he can't wait to see you (Hume) and Howard up front" He's been our most consistent player over the past couple of seasons. At one time, we had the best defence in the league.
Koke Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Fryatt is not fit enough to wipe Hume's arse. And that says more about Fryatt than it does about Hume.
davieG Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 He hasn't but at least he has a football brain and the manager seems to like him. A fine effort, perhaps you could try a bit harder though and actually answer the question!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Fryatt needs a run on the bench so he knows he has to work for his place. He's been guaranteed first choice practically the entire time he's been here and he's been so inconsistent it's ridiculous. Hopefully now we will have some actual competition for places, something that has still yet to materialise even with a massive squad.
Koke Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 If Dudley gets fit then personally Fryatt would be at the end of the pecking order. Just ahead of Hayles, thats it.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Then we might become a middle of the table side. Its similar to the way Thracian Attacks Fryatt in every post but atleast that has some merit.
STUHILL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Fryatt could well be out in the Summer if he doesn't start banging in goals. No point hanging on to him and always saying yeh but he has potential to be awesome! Similar with Stearman for me, altho Stearman has picked up a little bit last few games. Both are young, but both have played enough now to demonstrate whether they can do a job for us. If Summer comes and we see no real consistent improvements, then I personally would sell both if offers were ok.
Geordie Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 Fool Fool Foool.Hume's interview today, the reporter says something along the lines of "he can't wait to see you (Hume) and Howard up front" He's been our most consistent player over the past couple of seasons. At one time, we had the best defence in the league. So what? Iain Hume is has been consistent in a shite team, that doesn't make him good it makes him less shite then the others, but still shite nonetheless. For fuuuuck sake, why do we have to put up with the same shite players we have had for the last few seasons? If we do we will never get out of the bottom half of the table. To say Iain Hume is quality is nothing more than wishful ass kissing, he isn't good enough for where the club is trying to go. I am rather tired of this best defence in the league myth too, seeing as we have been in the lower half of the table how can we have had the best defence in the league? Also notice when big Fulop went just how shite McAuley ad Kisnorbo are, back to how they have been over the last few seasons.
Corky Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 What a stupid article. Fryatt is meant to be an out-and-out goalscorer, Hume isn't. Who has scored more goals this season?
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 So what? Iain Hume is has been consistent in a shite team But thats more than Fryatt has been.

That's called confidence in your goalkeeper, and it wasn't a myth, it was true. How does it make him less shite than the other players? You really are deluded. Keep talking "shite" mate, it suits you.
Shit_arse Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 The blokes got a point tho..... Regardless of ability, the majority of players at this club have got into the habit of under performing as a result there is a losing culture at the club. I think we should begin to phase out these players, and bring in new fresh blood that hasnt been affected by whats gone on at this club over the last few seasons. I agree, Hume should go.
mancunianfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Keep 'em coming Geordie.... LETS GET RID OF OUR ONLY STRIKER WHO SCORES GOALS. Howard and Campbell are good enough players and I have no doubt that they have goals in them but Hume is the only play who has consistantly scored goals for us. He is our top scorer this season and he was our top scorer last season even though he has rarely played in his proper position over the last four months. Fryatt may be (arguably) the more talented footballer but Hume gives so much more to the team.
Corky Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Geordie, you say Hume has been consistent in an awful team. So why get rid of him? He must have been better than the rest of the team. Hume should be in the team because of his work-rate, commitment and the fact he looks like scoring goals. Fryatt doesn't.
Thracian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Then we might become a middle of the table side. Sirloin Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 There is a difference between an individual and a team. There can be the shocking situation where a good player can still be in a bad team. Although such subtleties may escape you, as it seems that you have a mental age of 3.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I don't think that it's fair to criticise Hume based on the performances we've seen this season because he has been so consistently punted around the field as a "Utility man". The same can be said of Chambers and N'Gotty, to be honest. Hopefully with these new signings they won't have to fill in missing holes (such as our "midfield") and can either start on the field or come on as a sub in their preferred positions. Also I'd just like to clarify that the twat who started this topic and I are in no way linked.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 And people say I've been on the brandy.Hume or Fryatt? I couldn't make a case for Fryatt if he was my son. Spot on. It was just the colour ok ill admit it could have been rootbeer.
