davieG Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Wasn't it terrible yesterday. Still predominantly green though.
Koke Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It was awful. Mind you, it was raining pretty much the entire Friday in Leicester.
acooling08 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Its because of : loads of rain players trained on pitch It'll be good for next game
Simi Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Wasn't it terrible yesterday. Who's fault is it Berty?
DB11 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It was poor but they normally do get poor just after christmas...
Flynny Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It wasn't terrible, but definitely chopped up a little. Our pitch is normally really good, I think thats why it was so noticable yesterday rather than it being awful.
Austin Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I Blame Global warming .. Thought id throw that into the mix.
davieG Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I Blame Global warming .. Thought id throw that into the mix. That's why they've had snow in Iraq.
mat_j101 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It did look dodgy yesterday. Not up to our standards. The Walkers always seems to have had a pretty good playing surface.
Leicester Lass Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Maybe it's because there's less shit playing on it now? Someone had to, didn't they?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 It was pretty bad but never threatened to disrupt our free-flowing passing football yesterday. F**king hell, I LOVE being able to say things like that. We better play like that again at least once this season.
sdb Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 i thought the same. guy at ticket office said the game would've been called off were it on friday night
mat_j101 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 i thought the same. guy at ticket office said the game would've been called off were it on friday night Really???? It seemed a bit churned up, but not bad enough to call the match off. Maybe it was worse when you were down there than it actually looked!!!
Austin Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 To be fair .. it did absolutely chuck it down around the country .. imagine the football we could play on a tidy crisp pitch .. haha .. Wishful thinking.
Ashley Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Pitch was terrible. It didnt help with the Youth team playing on it on Tuesday night aswell.
scrivins2 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 was pretty bad the muddy six yard box nearly stopped hayleses goal from goin in
when_you're_smiling Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Is that why the women are playing their FA Cup game at Blaby Scout Hut or do they usualy play there? As a side issue what facilities do Blaby Scouts have that other local football clubs don't?
sdb Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 was pretty bad the muddy six yard box nearly stopped hayleses goal from goin in as did kicking it straight at the keeper!!
Raj Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Pitch=Crap Team= good. HHhmmmmm maybe a connection there!!!!
StroudFox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Is that why the women are playing their FA Cup game at Blaby Scout Hut or do they usualy play there? As a side issue what facilities do Blaby Scouts have that other local football clubs don't? Blaby Scout HQ used to be Leicester United. My family live round the corner. Remember going to watch a friendly in the 90s between City and Leicester United and got some signatures from the players!! Pitch=CrapTeam= good. HHhmmmmm maybe a connection there!!!! Exactly, better that way round than the other!!
Staf Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Like i said in another thread i wasnt there because i was ill but i saw the highlights on t.v and the pitch looked terrible just imagine what it would look like if the tigers played on it aswell
