I'm sure there are many other journalists/TV presenters who are prevented from getting the top jobs because of the culture within the profession -i.e who you know nor what you know/how good you are. As for BBC football commentary, I agree that their television commentary is piss poor (John Motson has been past it for a good few years now) and Barry Davies (the legend) was the only quality commentator they had. However, imo Alan Green in Radio 5Live is a top commentator, a legend in his field - he tells it like it is and isn't afraid to abuse players/managers when the situation so warrants. Anyway, a few of my annoyances: Learner drivers Drivers who drive below the speed limit even when there is no traffic ahead of them Drivers that cut you up Drivers that don't indicate Drivers that don't gesture to say thanks when you let them go A common theme there!
