i hate to throw a new equation into the mix, but w2hen hollowhead was with us earning a much smaller salary and without the resources to be able to buy players and strengthen his squad, he did quite well........so whats happened to him now??.....has he gone soft?.......is he just happy to take the fat pay cheque and not worry about what really happens on the pitch?......he looked pretty dejected to me in the dugout, but i'm sure the smile returned to his face when he got the cash point this evening......has all that mandaric's money bought you is a manager with pound signs in his eyes and a newly bulging wallet, or somone you think can take you 'onwards and upwards' as he likes to say???

He inherted a good team at Plymouth, he got a mess here, a big one, he needs time to sort it out.

How much time though?

It's his team now, he bought in plenty in Jan - there can be no more excuses

Yes - poor attaempt at a save, made up for it though when Easter was through.

I actually believe that when players step onto our training ground they loose 50% of their ability and confidence. It's happened to Clemence, and its starting to happen to Oakley - whos were both one of the best player at their previous (premiership) clubs

The damage was already done, so he didn't make up for it as such, just prevented further humiliation. But in a round about way i get ya.

The most frustrating thing about Clem and Oakley is the point you made about them being the best players at their previous clubs last season, we know that they can do it.

Clem showed some neat touches and turns today and tried to inspire us i thought.

All to no avail though.

Just remember who our owner is as well. He is ridiculously inpatient, if this carries on for a few more weeks i can see him getting rid, don't get me wrong i don't want that to happen but it is Manderic we're talking about here.

thats not true...its what he might like you to think.....pulis was a shambles of a manager for us for the season he was here...as can be seen if you've ever seen any of his teams play.....he's got money now for expensive loan signings and so does ok.....holowhead did a good job for us while he was here he did bring in some good players and introduce a different kind of football to pulis....not difficult as pulis lumps it up and relies and on ricardo fuller for the rest......but for us thats all in the past, we're a new team over the last month and we're getting there......but is he doing anything for you??...thats the question.....or is he too busy buying asparagus for tea with his inflated pay packet???

He bought Oakley, Hayles, Howard and then the two Hungarians on loan didn't he? Who have I forgot? Oh, and Clapham.

Last time I checked, 6 people didn't make a team.

Clemence did try yes, along with Hume. But trying is just not good enough if we aren't producing performances or wins. With the team on paper we should have rolled over Plymouth, there nothing special apart from Halmosi and their keeper had a decent day.

We apparently have two cracking central midfileders, a promising english keeper, a striker that scored 17 in THIS LEAGUE last season? Yet it just doesn't happen, there must be an underlying problem.

I was also fooked off with Laczko today, he didn't do anything whatsoever, then dived at the end? Then raised his hands when he was in the wrong, it was twattish behaviour - who the fu ck does he think he is?

Zsolt Lazcko 20 @ lcfc?

I think, that we need a settled team. Changing every other game isn't good at all.

He might be 20, he might be Hungarian - but he was wrong today in what he did. Can't stand cheats, if we had won that penalty, and got a point, I probably would have felt worse

Laczko hardly got the ball as far as I could see, no end of times he was available to pass to, no end of times he was overlooked. Most of the time for a long ball to Howard.

Which sums up my point in saying he was poor, and topped it off by cheating at the end.

I wouldn't have, we should have had a penalty and when we put the ball in the net at the start im still not certain he was offside.

No it wasn't, everyone could see it mate, it was a blatant penalty but at the end of the day we didn't deserve anything from the game so we won't go on about that.

And Alnwick makes 7 ........... still not a full team admittedly!! More like a bench, well next season anyway ;)

Plymouth beat us because, despite having a load of players sold on by their chariman, they were better than us. We have our own problems to worry about without slagging off Plymouth for never being in the Premier League.

Fair play to them. I'm very very worried, I've not been this worried since Levein was in charge. The thing that worrys me most is I don't think it's the manager or the Chairman or the fans. It's a back log of shitness that just seems to add up to a total loss of soul within the club.

Im a lot more worried than ive ever been in the last 4 seasons. We have spent millions and millions of pounds this season when we had no money to spend in previous seasons and it seems to have made us worse. £1m on Clemence who has been very poor, £1.5m on Dj, £1.5m on Howard, £500k on Oakley, plus all the money we spent on signing Kaebi, Hellings, Nielsen etc and then paid them more by paying them off.

We have had so much money this season, more money than we have had in years and years, and it hasn't helped us one bit.

Has Milan really helped our club?

Sure he has given us money, but it hasn't helped the results. But he has also kept sacking managers, the first mistake being MA. Im not a MA lover, he did sign a load of poor players. But would we have ever known they were actually shit if MA got them playing out of their skin like in the Watford game? If we stuck with him and won more, we wouldn't know any different. Theres no doubt we would be in a better postion than we are now, if we just stuck with 1 manager for the season.

Sacking MA left a huge mess in our club which GM wasn't gonna sort out. Now IH just seems to talk a load of bullshit about wingers and balance, then chucks on players destroying width and any balance. Managers we could have had, Warnock, and Roeder seem to be doing well which just makes it worse.

It proves that money isn't everything, without Milan would we be in this position now?

If Fulop hasn't been looked at by any other club come the summer and if we have any money to spend, then we should bid on him definately (not £3mil as RK wants though, thats jus silly). The 1st three games of Alnwick in goal only left us with clean sheets because the defense didnt let anything through- they made Alnwick look good IMO.

The Leicester Syndrome I believe thats called. We have the ability to take good players and take away their qualities, rendering them shite, useless, etc. Whereas we take the unwanted players that can't make subs benches (e.g. Dickhead, Thatcher, etc) and turn them into good players again... then they fook us off and go into the premiershit leaving us back at square one again.

Strangely though this season, no matter wheather the player has been in good form before joining us (Nielsen) or not in any form (Cort, Hellings) we haven't been able to do anything with them- they've just all been as woeful as each other and our first team is no better. Yesterday we got beat by an average plymouth team, who've sold most of their better players, and once again as with most teams coming to the bowl we made them look good. We played too much 'hoof ball', there was no leadership, no communication and no passion. These issues need to be addressed, but where do we start? As an earlier post said; its not the manager, the chairman or the fans. All I know is this has been coming for the last couple of seasons and we've just been avoiding it. Barely. Sooner or later though, everythings going to come crashing on top of us and we will get relagated. Now i've said this before and i'll say it again, 'relagation I would welcome' purely because it would enable us to strip down to the bare bones of this club and rebuild; better, stronger, a team to be proud of and one thats ready to go up into the championship then the premiershit. Ohterwise I can just see us struggling for the next several seasons, balancing precuiroiusly on the edge of relagation and regressing instead of progressing.

Indeed... You could bring any manager in here and it wouldn't change. It's going to take a long time to get out of the state we are in, and the only way I can see it happening is to stick with a manager.

This place sucks the life and soul out of anyone who joins.

The Zsolt incident was in no way a penalty. He was pulling at the defenders shirt then when the ball got away from him he went over far too easily.

The handball incident was definitely a penalty, pity neither the ref nor the linesman could see it.

The disallowed goal for off-side... it was extremely close. Looking on the replays I'd say the Leicester players were very fractionally off-side.

I don't see how anyone can argue with the result. But for a breathtaking save it would have been 2-0.

It's easy to argue with the result... but for a breathtaking save at the last minute Fryatt would have scored, or if the hand ball had been spotted, it would have been 1-1. A draw would have been a fairer result.

Could that be because The Walkers is full of our souls? ;):D

We are reaping the rewards of years of under-investment. Without quality and depth to the squad, the players look at themselves and their pay packets and assume that being the best in their position (for the want of any competition for places) means that whatever they do is good enough. Losing in this situation is easy for them to deal with because there is no squad loyalty, it is other team members who are to blame for any loss...not them personally. Psychologically, they are cut off from a group ethic...biding their time until they are offered another contract or sold on (not considering that they have doen little to achieve a contract equal to the one they currently enjoy).

In the meantime, this place is sucking it out of me too...

I was more worried with our lack of fight and how easily we were out muscled.

Youd have thought the players would have really wanted to do well in this "For the managers pride"

Perhaps they couldnt give fcuk...
