Manwell Pablo Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Plymouth beat us because, despite having a load of players sold on by their chariman, they were better than us. We have our own problems to worry about without slagging off Plymouth for never being in the Premier League. Fair play to them. I'm very very worried, I've not been this worried since Levein was in charge. The thing that worrys me most is I don't think it's the manager or the Chairman or the fans. It's a back log of shitness that just seems to add up to a total loss of soul within the club.

They beat us because they could actually play football instead of hoofing it and hoping for the best. Whoever keeps saying we are a big club are living in the past and i bet they are the first to jump on the backs of Leeds and Forest fans that do the same, Hypocrites. We need to sort out the overall mentality at the club because there seems to be an overwhelming pressure on them and they seem to be flopping. And Flopping badly. I think a certain Mr.Mandaric should reassess his targets for this football club tbh.

Very worrying times I think and i don't see light at end of tunnel at the moment.
Trumpet Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Amen. Are we witnessing the death of football, dare I say? With all this talk about the Premier League going overseas - not that it matters in the slightest for us! But, with the crap atmosphere, shit team etc. There's no soul.. no urgency. No-one cares.

To be fair our two best players today Halmosi and Timar were signed by Holloway/Penrice, our goalie wasn't bad either - nothing to do with Holloway.
keef54 Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 You guys really did Plymouth a favour taking Holloway. He has not got a clue. Having 4 forwards on does not win games. I must having watched the game on Sky, Leicester are a very poor team. Only one team deserved the win and that was plymouth. Howard should have been sent off for his fore arm smash on the plymouth keeper. Only one way Leicester are going with holloway in charge. The sooner he goes the better for Leicester.

You not see the blatent hand ball in the box then?? Oh well we didnt deserve to win. At least now maybe Plymouth fans can be content and leave us to slag ourselves off.

The Reverend Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 We didnt deserve to lose the game. I'll be gracious if we get beat by a better team in all departments, but Plymouth were'nt. The amount of chances we had, we should have won the game. As usual at the Walkers, the oppo has 1 or 2 chances and scores. We have 10 and still cant put it away. Plymouth played better football than us, but we had a silly amount of chances to score. And goals win games. They took theirs. We didnt. Well done Plymouth, but im not going to sit here going Plymouth were much better blah blah blah, because they wern't. However shit we were (and we were shit), we had loads of chances and as usual couldnt put them away.

First post on here, Hello all Well said Manwell Pablo, I am feeling exactly the same. I feel deflated and just don't know the answer.

Their goalie pulled off 2 good saves, we had a penalty call that would have been given 4 out of 5 times, DJs cross to Howard that was JUST too far ahead of him, headers falling to Lazcko (wingers are never the greatest headers). It was all very frustrating. But fair play to Plymouth, they put the ball in the net and defended very well. Unfortunately
Finnegan Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Gracious for what exactly? Gracious. Not grateful, you stupid, fucking twat.
LeeCovFox Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Gracious. Not grateful, you stupid, fucking twat. I was thinking much the same. Thank goodness I'm a polite young man.
Dames Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Gracious. Not grateful, you stupid, fucking twat. lol lol lol I'M DIEING!
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 February 2008 Author Posted 9 February 2008 I don't agree with this one or two chances crap either, Halmosi had a couple of really good chanced I think Easter had one or two as well. Also lets remember who was suppose to be at home, doing well away from home isn't deserving to win, ultimatley it's about winning.
Matt Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 We were 2nd best, I'll do most to stick up and defend my team but I won't deny it when it's true, we were shite, we were 2nd best.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 We weren't very good. They weren't very good. Halmosi's shot was the only bit of quality in the game really so that's what won it for them. We could easily have tucked away one of our chances but you got the feeling very early on that it was just one of those games we were going to lose 1-0, like so many in recent years.
McFoxy Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 We started the first 5 minutes brightly. For a moment i didn't think I was watching leicester, passing was good and build up was too. Then it went tits up and they became the leicester we know and love (to hate) poor passing, not closing and big hoofballs to clear. if we could play 75 minutes of the quality of the first 5 minutes we would be great. Sadly its a far off dream :pinch:
Chimp Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Gracious. Not grateful, you stupid, fucking twat.
Thracian Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I don't see how anyone can argue with the result. But for a breathtaking save it would have been 2-0.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2008 Author Posted 10 February 2008 I don't see how anyone can argue with the result. But for a breathtaking save it would have been 2-0. He should of stopped the first, Fulop would of stopped it (IMO).
Tommy G Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 He should of stopped the first, Fulop would of stopped it (IMO). Yes - poor attaempt at a save, made up for it though when Easter was through. I actually believe that when players step onto our training ground they loose 50% of their ability and confidence. It's happened to Clemence, and its starting to happen to Oakley - whos were both one of the best player at their previous (premiership) clubs
Green machine Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 i hate to throw a new equation into the mix, but w2hen hollowhead was with us earning a much smaller salary and without the resources to be able to buy players and strengthen his squad, he did quite well........so whats happened to him now??.....has he gone soft?.......is he just happy to take the fat pay cheque and not worry about what really happens on the pitch?......he looked pretty dejected to me in the dugout, but i'm sure the smile returned to his face when he got the cash point this evening......has all that mandaric's money bought you is a manager with pound signs in his eyes and a newly bulging wallet, or somone you think can take you 'onwards and upwards' as he likes to say???
