Leicester Lass Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It just seems like they are doing it to get attention Well it was obviously a deliberate act by her. When she survived I presume everyone was all looking after her and fretting over her etc. She did it to herself so why does everyone need to help them. If someone else had done it to them, then yeah, but THEY DID IT TO THEM SELF If people do it to them self I just have no sympathy for them. Unbelieveable.

So have you never done something then some time after thought.. I wish I hadn't of done that? And wished there could have been someone to stop you doing it. I'd say you do it at least on average over 4 times a day.

Not something that is that drastic and attention seeking that I KNOW will kill me, no. These people aren't stupid, they know they will die if they do it.

Yeh, but their minds are obviously not right when they do it, I assume they would all be acting out of character.

Being generous, I hope when you grow up a bit you will come to understand why that attitude is so insensitive.
DB11 Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Being generous, I hope when you grow up a bit you will come to understand why that attitude is so insensitive. Well I've explained my opinion and my reason, why do you have yours?
Leicester Lass Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Well I've explained my opinion and my reason, why do you have yours? Did you ever think the following may have something to do with it? Yeah, I just wish I'd had that attitude when I was soaked from head to toe in a 16-year-old girl's blood after she'd just slashed her wrists to pieces. Would have been so much easier to walk away and leave her to die alone in the school loos rather than fight to save her life for 15 minutes. And, yes, she has since thanked me for what I did.
Daggers Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It just seems like they are doing it to get attention As are you. You ****ing retarded little twat.
Simi Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Not something that is that drastic and attention seeking The irony hurts.
danny. Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 can we add "db11 - social worker/counsellor" to the "worst jobs" thread?
Joe. Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Dannyboy just fuck off. It's twattish comments like this that give you the reputation you have. You're 15 and you should be able to know when to not make retarded, insensitive comments like the one's you've made.

If someone else had done it to them, then yeah, but THEY DID IT TO THEM SELF If people do it to them self I just have no sympathy for them. Very ignorant and insensitive statement. People who commit suicide tend do so because of deep depression. To die in this way is no more self inflicted than is death from cancer. Depression is a very serious disease. I two nervous breakdowns as a teen. Needless to say, the experiences are ones which I will never forget. I had thoughts of suicide at the time, but fortunately, my family, particularly my parents, were progressive enough in their attitudes to see what was happening to me and to get me the help which I needed. I'm so glad they did. I'm now happy at the age of 24, studying at university, something I always wanted to do, and enjoying life in general with the help of a loving family and some great friends. And on the 'attention' view which you espouse, how exactly are these people going to know of any attention they will receive after their deaths?
Bert Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It's very bizarre what's going on there. Bebo definetly has a major part to play in this. It's very sad as well, especially reading all the stories in the papers. I just hope that it all comes to an end. Every single person in life is unique, and as each of their lives comes to an end, something very special is lost.
Joe. Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It's just all really strange. Looking at the paper today, the people who have all hanged themselves don't strike me as "suicidal" people. I know that sounds very stereotypical. It's just shocking how so many young people in one area can take their own lives like that. Very, very odd.
The Reverend Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I've got to say its a shame, lifes a precious thing as we all know, and it makes it even worse when you think you have people with cancer and the like who are going to die, and are fighting everyday as hard as they can, they want to live so bad, and then for someone to just take their life it just seems so pointless. You can only feel sorry for someone who is in that position though, i cant and wouldnt want to even imagine it.

Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Did anyone see ITN news last night? They had a press conference on where the parents of one of the kids were there, and the local police chief inspector. What was bizarre was that the ITN bloke reporting from the scene said words to the effect of 'this policeman blames the media' before the copper could be heard, but in a tone of voice that said 'this bloke doesn't have a clue what he's on about - fancy blaming us'. It was like something out of Brasseye. I agree with the copper. Obviously it's newsworthy, but as usual, the papers are full of lurid and attention grabbing headlines, rather than just reporting the facts
