And there's this lass that was actually in Folkstone? How many of them are cases like that? If I offed myself tomorow would I be number 17 because my oldest living friends are from Bridgend? Yeah, I just wish I'd had that attitude when I was soaked from head to toe in a 16-year-old girl's blood after she'd just slashed her wrists to pieces. Would have been so much easier to walk away and leave her to die alone in the school loos rather than fight to save her life for 15 minutes. And, yes, she has since thanked me for what I did.

I think there is somthing like 150,000 people in the Brigend area and i am sure i have read that the amount of suicides for that area is in line with its population.. I used to live in Brigend. Nice area. Nothing bad enough to make me want to top myself... EDIT: ( meaning suicide pact type thing)

Nice area. Nothing bad enough to make me want to top myself... Yeah it's fairly nice, the oldest friends of our family are from Bridgend and we're frequent guests. You compare living there to somewhere like Merthyr Tydfil or Aberdare and quite frankly it seems like a tropical, modern paradise. I don't know, these things are funny aren't they? If there is some sort of 'suicide cult' it's unlikely to be a product of the area and just as much coincidence as anything else that it's Bridgend and not, say, Leeds or Aberdeen or Cork or Watford or anywhere else in the world.

Like Fin said above it is quite a big place. But the most concerning thing is that it has happened in this time peroid.... I find that the most worrying part, 2 people hung themselves at my school in 2000 and that was in the space of 3 days, there was no link there!! I think they get so lost in there own minds they feel like they have nothing to live for, and nobody to talk too... The mind is very powerfull!!

Well it was obviously a deliberate act by her. When she survived I presume everyone was all looking after her and fretting over her etc. She did it to herself so why does everyone need to help them. If someone else had done it to them, then yeah, but THEY DID IT TO THEM SELF If people do it to them self I just have no sympathy for them.
