Darkzzz_ Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I have a 2nd gen nano - as I only ever use it at the gym it's perfect, much better than the touch or any other typearmband holder and can change the vol/skip track etc without looking a the screen whilst on a treadmill, genius! I often use my Ipod on my treadmill too.... I dont have one of them smart little gadgets though!! Sounds like a good investment.... are they just for the nano??

I've just forked out £200 for an 8GB Touch, well my mum has. Early birthday present, I've just got to pay for the accessories. It's pretty decent.

I ordered a 2nd generation and think they have delivered a 1st generation. Its a gift and all sealed si I dont want to open it. It says copyright 2007 on the back of the box.

The main physical difference is that 2nd generation Touches have a volume control on the side and an external speaker that should both be visible

I did to mine. it gives aprogram on your iPod where your download 100s of applications for free. it can make it a bit more fun sometimes. there are videos on youtube that will tell you how to do it if you want to :thumbsup:

syston_fox Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 My five year old i-pod died on me the other day so I upgraded to a 120GB Classic for £170 and it came with a free docking station worth fifty quid - bargain. Very simple bit of kit and the playback on the video is spot on!

I prefered it to my iTouch but have since augmented it with a 160GB iPod Classic and an iPhone. Not had a play with an Archos5 but I have to admit they look the bollox. Maybe I'll get one as a promotion present!

The movie quality on them is far superior to the touch and the HD size is far superior. If you get one, use this to convert your movies pocketdivx

Got/ had one for about 3 years. 604 i think and the battery has just gone now only plays half a movie am really tempted to save up for another one. They really are the dogs bollocks
