Floating Fox Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Ok, so you know for a fact we do more promotions than any other team? I know for a fact that we do more promotions than most clubs, yes.
Babylon Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 I know for a fact that we do more promotions than most clubs, yes. Care to share these statistics you have compiled then.
Floating Fox Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Care to share these statistics you have compiled then. There on my other computer.
Joe. Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 You guys take everything so seriously on here its hilarious. Most of the stuff i post on here is crap because you lot are so easy to wind up Your so gullable to believe that i believe everything i post on here is what im thinking and you just lash out at me! Yeah...like you're joking when you come up with your latest "we're going up!", "we're going down!" nonsense. You're just trying to cover your tracks now and pretend it's all an act.
ASH17LCFC Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 There on my other computer. Why do you support Leicester ? Go and support a German team were you can sing and dance and never complain about the fans please.
Nod.E Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Interesting.Let's look back. Palace - 1,300 Scunny - 700 Colchester - 500 Preston - 400 Charlton - 1,000 Wolves - 800 Hull - 300 QPR - 800 Ipswich - 500 Blackpool - 1,700 Let's compare to the Carling Cup. Chelsea - 6,244 Forest - 5,000 Villa - 4,000 But to be fair, you probably couldn't take many more than that to colchester. And most of the others were either on sky or on a week night when people are at work etc... Yes, there are some exceptions, but for the position we're in you can't expect perfection. I think our attendances are brilliant. But the amount of singing/atmosphere can be embarrising bar some away games.
Maybes Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Why do you support Leicester ? Go and support a German team were you can sing and dance and never complain about the fans please. Hahaha. That made me laugh out loud . Its a very good point to be honest.
ASH17LCFC Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Hahaha. That made me laugh out loud . Its a very good point to be honest. I know i moan on about the team but he will never be happy. We could take 7000 to Plymouth on a tuesday night and he still would find something to complain about ... The old man in the wheel chair wasn't standing up and singing.
Koke Posted 22 February 2008 Posted 22 February 2008 Why do you support Leicester ? Go and support a German team were you can sing and dance and never complain about the fans please. You are a funny lad. I'm starting to like you now
lcfc_jme Posted 22 February 2008 Posted 22 February 2008 People should get off SUAS's back, ffs. So the guy feels we have mediocre support - big fucking deal? Yes, in terms of numbers, our home support is impressive considering what we as fans have been subjected to in recent years. But in terms of volume? No, our support isn't really impressive is it? Away from home - the numbers are fucking shocking a lot of the time, but the noise is good and everyone has a laugh. I'm willing to accept that having experienced both. He's perfectly entitled to his opinion on the matter as I'm sure you'll all agree, just as you are all entitled to yours. He enjoys a particular aspect of the football (standing without hassle and being extremely vocal) that he accesses elsewhere, but at heart he's still a Leicester fan and still turns up regularly regardless of form. Surely he's better inclined and more qualified to moan about these types of things considering he turns up almost all of the time and experiences it than if he never turned up yet spouted these things anyway? At the end of the day, if you have that much of a problem with what he's saying, stick him on ignore so you don't have to see it? Either that or just ignore the guy? He won't lose no sleep over it and there'll be no panties bunching up because he's stepping on toes in expressing his views. The same could be said with everyone that gets pissed off with Thracian, no? If you don't like it, don't read it or respond, sort of thing? Just a thought, like? EDIT: I don't have a list of compiled statistics to base the following comment on (mainly because I have neither the time nor the desire to get information from other clubs), but from talking to the marketing manager at Leicester, I can say that we as a club do a lot more community based work than most in our league, and that also involves running promotions for games and attracting younger supporters into the ground with offers. I'm sure Ched will also vouch for this, if needs be.

lcfc_jme Posted 22 February 2008 Posted 22 February 2008 Mate, it was just a disagreement. Maybe so Karim, maybe I over-reacted just a tad as well. It's just when I see comments like "You still moaning?" and "Fook off and support a German team 'cos all you ever do is moan" (though I'd expect the latter to come from said WuM, if I'm honest..), it grates on me. He has every reason to moan about the atmosphere inside the Walkers at least, and in many cases attendances away from home. In general, they're not the best around and of course it'd be great to improve them. He even actively tried to improve the atmosphere at home last season, which was debatably (if that's even a word) successful. He's been in further contact this year, which is more than can be said for most. The guy's repetitive, and I can understand why it gets some people's backs up, but it's not without reason and like I said, at least he's still turning up and giving his support. I just wish people on the forum would be less harsh with their criticism a lot of the time. It seems as though everyone is quick to try and stamp out on anything that rocks the boat or upsets the status quo rather than try to tolerate it. Sorry Braveheart was only Joking. Didn't mean it in any serious way His opinion at the end of the day. Ashley, see the above post. I acknowledge I more than likely overreacted, but I tried to explain why I did so and accepted you wind people up.

True but i'm sure this is the guy who said he didn't go too home games because of the atmosphere and only go's when a free tickets comes up. I go to watch Leicester, yes i would enjoy it alot more if the atmosphere improved but i would never stop going just because of it. He does bang on though about how shit our fans are and it does get me a tad angry. And i am abit of a wind up merchant

As much as he does moan though, he still turns up most weeks and has been to more home games this season than he professed he would do. He'll be attending a few more before the season is out as well I'm sure. He has tried to improve the atmosphere at home (ok so it didn't work the way he envisaged, but he had a go and has been back with a view to doing something this season as well), so it's not like he's moaning for the sake of it. He could perhaps put his points across in a more constructive, less critical way, but he lacks the language skills required to do it. Seriously, I'm sure he doesn't mean things to come across in the way they do on here, and if you spoke to him off-forum, you'd get a clearer picture of his opinion on things and he wouldn't come across as irritating as how some of his posts undoubtedly are. I'll admit though, even we as his friends find his German obsession slightly bizarre, and he is constantly mocked by us for it off-forum.

I'm not by anyway of means calling the lad or saying his opinion is wrong and i know he is working hard to get the atmosphere improved at the walkers and i do respect him alot for that. He's not just moaning about it, he's doing something about it. I think he was one the lads behind the N Block last year and for a short period that was the best time i had at the walkers in terms of atmosphere wise.

filbertway Posted 22 February 2008 Posted 22 February 2008 Would a Thracian junior favour the oldies? Well it appears so, with his support of thrac and SUAS SUAS reminds me of suazo, which reminds me of potters comedy style play on pro evo with AJax.
