Lineker's Left Foot Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Just wondering why Laczko was substituted on 44 minutes and the significance of it yesterday?? Is it because he was playing that poorly and it was a statement from Ollie just before half-time to show to the fans he wasn't that good?? I have heard of this dreaded '44 minute substitution syndrome' for a player who's not injured?
WetFlannel Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Because Ozzy hammerd him Couldn't bare another humiliation
Asha Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Because he was shit. A slight injury was the perfect excuse for Ollie to yank him off
MikeyT Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 According to Steve Walsh on the radio he said after a few tackles on him he just didnt look up for it at all, and was wimping out! Or maybe it was just as simple as an injury!

Darkzzz_ Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Bottler... just so glad i didn't jump on the bandwagon after that game against Cov on his debut.
leicesterseddon Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 he didn't play well at all if we followed that logic there wouldn't have been a team for us on the pitch by the end
syston_fox Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 if we followed that logic there wouldn't have been a team for us on the pitch by the end Bet we would have only lost 2-1 if they all came off at half time!
WetFlannel Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 Our type of football isn't allowing wingers to do a job. Hoooofs all up the pitch leave them isolated, so its no surprise him AND hume played poor.
filbertboy Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 A slight injury was the perfect excuse for Ollie to yank him off pervert !!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 We have no wingers people got into positions but not close to one decent cross in the box Simple as
Thracian Posted 24 February 2008 Posted 24 February 2008 He certainly doesn't seem like one for a relegation battle. Commeth the hour, commeth Ryan Beswick, I'd hope. I'd even consider Mattock/Beswick in partnership on the flank because both could interchange, no problem. Nothing against Clapham at all but we need something productive from the left.
Bert Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Mattock was brilliant i thought yesterday. Well better than most.
Dames Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Doesn't look like him or Bori will be staying longer than the summer.
RowlattsFox Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 does anyone know why McAuley was taken off? I assume it was an injury considering it was so early in the second half and it would have been a pointless substitution if he wasnt injured.

Hope he's out for a while though.
RowlattsFox Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Don't know and don't care.Hope he's out for a while though. Why? Was N'Gotty any better when he came on? I think McAuley is suspended for Saturday anway.
Dames Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Why? Was N'Gotty any better when he came on?I think McAuley is suspended for Saturday anway. I don't know. I just think McAuley is a league 2 player and it really shows at times. We really should have cashed in, Instead we've offered him a bumper deal. Give it a season or 2 and he'll end up like Rab. Just leeching.
