Amazingly I'm already looking for a new car despite only having my current one 4 months. I'll probably stick with it till summer and save up some money untill then.

Looking for something much sleeker and with a bit more go (although when it's a polo I've currently got just about anything qualifies!!)

A renault Megane Coupe is currently taking my fancy probably one between 97- 2000

Anyone had one of these? Any advice?

TPH, this is what I'd look at with your criteria an alfa GT obviously there are always reliability issues but this is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen.

Also reguarding cars, I think I'm in love08_Maserati_Grantourismo_fagnle_mfr_430.jpg

£78,000. One for the future for me.

'tis a lovely car

I love the interiors in alfa's too. My friend has a red 156, red leather seats, red leather trim, everything, looked awesome

Actually, I had some interest in my motor yesterday, so I may change in the next month or two. If anyone can think of anything more exciting - yet still gloriously practical, of course - than another Astra that isn't going to cost much more than £6000, let's hear it

Thanks Tommeh - and yeah, that's a beautiful car (they both are).

One of my ambitions is to one day have a maserati.

On the subject of alfas, the appeal of the 159 is it looks beautiful but is apparently the most reliable of the alfas.

It may be quick, but isn't that just a Rover 400 with some bits stuck on it? I'm not sure it's me

same base yea, doesn't drive anything like a 400 tho. A bit OTT/boy racer looking?

Think im gonna get a Seat Leon in the summer. Great cars!

I'm led to believe that a Leon is effectively a Golf with a few different bits and bobs and different stylings.

I personally don't like them that much but they're supposed to be a good drive.

You could say that! I think my boy racer days (if I had any) are WELL behind me.

Plus, I don't think I could own a car that has British Leyland heritage

Yeah, I think they're pretty nice. That's not the current one though, or is it?

Pepper Red Fiesta.

He was a beaut. I had to sell him when the suspension was about to fall apart after giving one of my VERY fat mates a lift.

True story.

I still see him round Maidstone at times.

Here's the new Leon and personally I think it looks discusting, basically an MPV

Although if its the old one you meant, its a nice car especially in Cupra spec.

Is that the mighty Astra? I don't think I could afford one of those, but I might stretch to an SXI

Yes it is. How much have you got to spend?
