Benjani Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 What's happened to him recently? I remember Ollie bringing him into the first team, and now seems to have dissappeared! he didn't impress me much when he was playing, but he'll only get better. Surely a place on the bench won't hurt?

Thracian Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 He's not been in the reserves either, unless he played today.
Simi Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Why? I think getting him involved in a team that is doing so poorly could really damage his development. I'm pretty sure he'd get played out wide and I doubt he'd want to be sitting about only to come on as a winger. He's still very young, maybe next year. But I feel introducing him this season at this stage would do him no good.

Chambers is Leicester through and through, im sure he'll try his best to keep us in this division, unlike some others i could name.
davieG Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 He's not been in the reserves either, unless he played today. The actual squad travelling to the game will be confirmed here on the Club's official website as soon as it is available. Part of the Taggs preamble to the game which kicked off at 2pm and they still haven't posted the team never mind the result
RowlattsFox Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 The reserves game is tomorrow, not today, isn't it?
Benjani Posted 25 February 2008 Author Posted 25 February 2008 Part of the Taggs preamble to the game which kicked off at 2pm and they still haven't posted the team never mind the result Yeah, cos the game takes place tomorrow! Today....is MONDAY

davieG Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 Old age is it davie Maybe or the fact I've got a stinking cold and keep dribbling all over my keyboard, or this that age as well. Nah I'll have to settle for stupidity plus a subconscious desire to have a stab at the OS

I'm not sure Ashley will have been getting enough games to be pressing for promotion to the first team squad. Beswick seems to be the one making an impression right now.

Yeah he looks like a proper English winger. It's probably too much for him to slot in the team now though in a relegation scrap and everything, maybe after a full pre season with the first team he can push on next season?
step Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 i read somewhere that he had taken some time out to study for his school exams
Bert Posted 25 February 2008 Posted 25 February 2008 i read somewhere that he had taken some time out to study for his school exams No you didn't.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 No you didn't. Errmm yes he did, it's plastered all over the back pages of the tabloids.
Ric Flair Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 I think he's ready if you look at our present strikers talents.
Dr The Singh Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 I think he's ready if you look at our present strikers talents. I dunno, were in a relagation battle, the team rarely look enterprising going forward these days. Will it not only sapp any confidence the boy has and with the fans having less patience than a virgin with a prostitute, they will just add to his misery!!!
Thracian Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Errmm yes he did, it's plastered all over the back pages of the tabloids. He's had a similar situation in the past and with the Dallas tournament coming up it makes sense.

I think his pace alongside Howard, who is always going to start, might be very useful. DJ obviously has the pace as well, but not even anywhere nears as explosive as Chambers. DJ has disappointed me so far, i'm hoping he'll come to life and fire the goals in, but he seems to be one of those 'unlucky' players for us, where the ball never falls right inside the box or his chances are expertly saved and cleared off the line. In reality, good strikers bury their chances and make their own luck. Hayles & Fryatt will offer us nothing playing the way we do and Hume is obviously not Holloway's cup of tea up front, so Chambers may be needed right now as competition for DJ to play alongside Stevie.
