RowlattsFox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Good signing if he reproduces Villa/Stoke form. Didnt realise he was as old as 30. Midfield will look like - Hume - Oakley - Clemence - Hendrie I think its more likely to be Hendrie---Oakley--Clemence--Mattock/Lazcko/Bori to be honest.
MikeyT Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 its on SSN channel Cheers! Going blind in my old age!
beemeroo Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I think its more likely to be Hendrie---Oakley--Clemence--Mattock/Lazcko/Bori to be honest. You mean you/me/everyone else who is sick and tired of hume being played on the right hopes it will be like that edit: forgot to say that includes Hume himself
Sods Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Smacks of another rent a crowd panic signing to me but we'll let his football be the judge. If he plays to his ability then you will certainley enjoy his peformances.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I'm not entirely convinced this is what we're missing, in fact he comes across to me like another Clemence/Oakley - dependable enough but not going to beat anyone for pace. As long as he gives 100% then he will have my full support. Fingers crossed he can show us why we wanted him so much in the summer.
RowlattsFox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I think his set-piece delivery is quite good if I remember correctly, also his crossing ability will probably be better than anyone we currently have.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I'm not entirely convinced this is what we're missing, in fact he comes across to me like another Clemence/Oakley - dependable enough but not going to beat anyone for pace.As long as he gives 100% then he will have my full support. Fingers crossed he can show us why we wanted him so much in the summer. Precisely what is needed. Someone who gives 100%. But this move does come across as a little on the desperate side if you ask me. But then we're in a desperate situation. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Clemence OUT, Hendrie IN. Why hasn't anyone suggested this? I wouldn't class Hendrie as a winger.
Jack Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Good stuff this. Always rated him. Just hope he can play like how he did at Stoke.
Joe. Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Well I'm not complaining. He can play on the left, a position we desperately need to fill.
lildave3 Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Well I'm not complaining. He can play on the left, a position we desperately need to fill. Or the right, a position i'd say we need to fill even more.
Joe. Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Or the right, a position i'd say we need to fill even more. Left, right, they both need filling. I'd say the left more so though to be honest...
Super Arj Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 good ithikn zsolt was a one game wonder we need a consistent player down the left
Head Honcho Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Once maybe but I'm not at all sure now. He's another central midfield player and we're loaded with em. Will Hendry's presence improve the unity of the side and improve our goals potential or will he be another golden oldie glad to pocket some of MM's cash for precious little in return? We'll wait and see but you cannot imagine Weso, Kingy or Kishishev being pleased, three who have done well performing in the shadows while our first team's been struggling. ..............so how can this be deemed an emergency loan?
Asha Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Not bad signing but there's better out there. His ego's too big for him though.
CKB Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 COULD be what we need, maybe he never settled up north and this is what he needs? i guess time will tell! he can play on the left/right so why not give him a go? Is this totally set in stone then?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 ..............so how can this be deemed an emergency loan? The emergency is that we're crap
shadowman Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Signed today on an emergency loan from Sheffield united
Steven Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Signed today on an emergency loan from Sheffield united Are you his agent?
Guest shearfox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Considering we are desparate for some sort of creativity in midfield and QUICK! this is probably the best solution for the short term.
Monk Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 hmmm all I can find is this Why would it be an emergency loan though? We're not exactly short of midfielders.
Sods Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Its the only way the league will allow it i think. Emergancy/We are in the shit. As i said in the other thread. I am very happy about this.
