Sods Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Exactly what we want to be honest. Not in the best of forms at the moment but he has talent.
Nick Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 http://www.sheffieldunited-mad.co.uk/news/...W&id=379589 oh. Err. right. Not really sure what I think of that...... lock up your daughters and don't answer back, especially if he's behind the wheel on the M40.
RowlattsFox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 There fans on that messageboard don't seem sad to see him go. He's had his injury problems this season, if this is true then I'll wait to see him play before i say whether its a good signing or not.
Simi Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 If we were in a better position he could **** off after the summer fiasco.
Bryn Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 It's a gamble but it isn't one with too high a cost. A moderately positive signing, if we can coax some form out of him he'll probably be a decent signing. If he's shit he's only here for 93 days so it's no biggy.
Mark Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2130393671 Sheffield Utd fans are disappointed he's leaving then... Just got to hope he'll be up for it and more settled back in the midlands.
MPH Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Given the choice of Hendrie or Campbell then it would be Hendrie ...
CupidStunt Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Hope he proves me wrong, but he's not for me
Thracian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Once maybe but I'm not at all sure now. He's another central midfield player and we're loaded with em. Will Hendry's presence improve the unity of the side and improve our goals potential or will he be another golden oldie glad to pocket some of MM's cash for precious little in return? We'll wait and see but you cannot imagine Weso, Kingy or Kishishev being pleased, three who have done well performing in the shadows while our first team's been struggling.
Sods Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Hes going to save it all. Sign next season and become the next football icon at Leicester.

He'll play out wide though and has done a bit throughout his career. Last season when Stoke visited us I remember him playing alright on the left.
Simon Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I don't care if we only get half a dozen decent games out of him... that would probably be enough to save us from relegation...

We'll wait and see but you cannot imagine Weso, Kingy or Kishishev being pleased, three who have done well performing in the shadows while our first team's been struggling. he was playing on the left or right wing for stoke last season when he scored loads of goals although he is naturally a CM.
Thracian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 He'll play out wide though and has done a bit throughout his career. Last season when Stoke visited us I remember him playing alright on the left. I quite fancied us going for him at the beginning of last season but one goal in his last 21 appearances for SToke and Sheffield United doesn't suggest he's a Gradel now, even if he was unquestionably good once. But we'll see. Sounds like a Mandaric move to me. Yet more age and experience.
Stuliasz Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Looking at the comments from the Sheff Utd fans doesn't fill me with confidence. At the start of the season, I'd have jumped at grabbing his signature - but now, a non-committed sicknote doesn't sound like the best option. Hope I'm wrong though.
Sods Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 To be honest i couldn't give to shits about what the Sheff Utd fans thought. We have problems here at the moment, we need something in midfield. This lad has the ability. He just needs to enjoy playing and bring back the confidence he has.
FleckneyFox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Good signing if he reproduces Villa/Stoke form. Didnt realise he was as old as 30. Midfield will look like - Hume - Oakley - Clemence - Hendrie
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Hes going to save it all. Sign next season and become the next football icon at Leicester. We have a history of converting "difficult" players into heroes.
Thracian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Smacks of another rent a crowd panic signing to me but we'll let his football be the judge.
MikeyT Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I cant see this mentioned on any other site. Not on SSN, LCFC.COM, Ceefax or anywhere apart from the link given on here. Is it true?
STUHILL Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 He is someone I wanted in the Summer, but really hasnt done well at the Blades, but then again no-one has, look where they are. He has talent and hoefully this will be a new start for him. I think he will be played out wide. He has the ability, just hope he's fit enough and ready to fight for us! p.s he is a cock!!
